(cause 500x0.8084 is 404.2..)
You end up with 80% from 1000 chips (whole pot), which is 800 chips, which is 300 chips net from your starting point.

Re: ** Official Spin and Go's Discussion Thread **

I seem to can't get above 60 Cev over a large sample. Currently playing 7's on stars and also played 15's before.

How do I compare to the rest of the pool and any tips on how to improve whitout joining a stable? Thanks

I would suggest investing in a coach for a couple hours, preferably someone who is a winner at all spin stakes. You most likely have leaks you are unaware of.I was the same, stuck at under 60 cev and after my coach worked with me on specific spots,my Cev has improved to 74 @15/30s combined(mainly 15's) over my last 2.5 k games and my redline has gone from being just above even to now over a large sample running @2.5 chips per hand which has greatly improved my overall winrate.
So in my specific case,my slightly different(more aggro)overall playing style and plugging some leaks I was not aware were there, has for sure lifted my Cev to a place were I am very happy going forward and I can attribute a large chunk of my success to my coach looking in to my game.
So,If you can afford it,go for a couple of hours at least of coaching with someone who is very competent with PT4 and all it can take is someone to point out a couple of leaks in your play to change everything for you and set you on the right path and give you a better shot at getting your game to where you want it to be.Hope that helps!

Thanks, yeah coaching might be a good step since I never took any. I think I have a clue in most of the spots, but it's the little spots which you are not aware of that account to the 10-20 Cev indeed. Could you suggest anyone who is coaching at the moment? Seems like most of the top regs are located at stables like SmartSpin nowadays to coach staking deals.

Anyone else ITT any suggestions?

Hi. Complete noob question. I tried a little spin&go fun. Well...How to interpret ev line going up, real $ result is -5 BI's. Why so? I have won 20 times all the chips of the game, so i would feel that I should be 20 BI's up.
Field, of course, is incredibly soft, but lots of variance.

Wait until you hit a few 4/6 X multipliers/win them and now you are up a few buy ins.The nature of spins is that we can be 30,000 chips in winnings, however with those 30k chips up we can be breakeven or down in real $'s.How many spins have you played in total?

361 to be exact. There is no doubt that I am nowhere near the top reg level. On my "defense" I've been playing poker for 10+years, staring from FL, to NL, PLO HU, PLO 6 max, etc. 4 out of those 10 years poker was my only source of income, so I would say I am not a completely bad at poker. A little strategy helps and the field is....awesome. Full of those "one hand warriors" where they get it in in the first 5 secs. I will never play spins professionally just wanted to know your opinion. Am I doing anything wrong? Is it just the variance? And what is the nature of spins - how high my chip grph should go just to be a break even player ?

Re: ** Official Spin and Go's Discussion Thread **

First of all 370 games is nothing to measure anything from. In order to get a picture how well you're actually playing you need to have at least 10k games.

Secondly, it's obviously not enough to win chips. You need to overcome a certain chip threshold in order to be better than breakeven, because you're paying rake. I don't know the exact number anymore, but its about 40 chips per tournament if you pay 8% rake. Maybe someone could step in and say the exact number.

Also in order not to rely on very seldom occurrences like hitting 100x+ multipliers, you need to win even more. Something like 52 chips at 8% rake with the pokerstars payouts.
Just to give you a perspective. Again, maybe someone could step in and state the actual values.

Your sample is just so small. Wether your EV goes up, down and the same for the results is just a matter of variance.

.
10k is a bit exagerated, if I remember correctly cEV starts to converge pretty decently from 1k sample on...

1k games gives a general idea, but around 3-4k games should be enough to see your cEV

Re: ** Official Spin and Go's Discussion Thread **

Hi guys!

I've just started playing spin and go's. After having played ~1k games I'm a bit curious about what would be considered a good cev on the various stakes, and what do you think is the highest achievable cev?

And also, just to make sure, am I calculating my cev correctly; ev adjusted chips won divided by total games?

cheers

Good chipev: 7s 75, 15s 55-65, 30s 50-60, 60s 45-50, 100s 40-45

Highest achievable is relative but realistically :

7s 110-120, 15s 80-90, 30s 70-75, 60s 65, 100s 55-60

Scroll up 4 posts. All of those "Good chipev" numbers would be profitable with no rake return. I can't personally tell you how hard those numbers are tho.

What size sample is this 1,500 games? You could say you are crushing the level for sure.Sucks to run under EV so much, however it is what it is and well played

As a matter of interest, what stakes are these?

Getting 60 cev on 15s is not very hard once you start playing good. Ofc it gets progressively harder to get good chipev on the higher buy-ins.

I have 64 cev on 15s in 3k games and around 52 cev on 30s in 800 games.

April+May on 15s had 75 cev while still making mistakes every day.

My Beating Spin and Gos video pack from husng.com is a great starting place--has push/fold charts and tons of videos to help you improve. It's on the expensive side ($299), but it's much better value for money than coaching because of the # of hours of content you get for the price
