Corrections and additions to Max's post:

These SNGs will be on the entire MPN from July 11
Currently (July 4-10) available at PKR only
Blind level length is 3 minutes
The matching algorithm is 'first come, first served' like @Stars
Whether SpinWiz will be allowed is unknown
Rake is 5%, 5.17% goes to the prog JP
The JP is 36022 BIs on avg (5K BI seed + 31022 BI contribs)

Within the 4 full days of their existence, a total of 13 (!!) €50 and 90 €20 JP SNGs have been played. Even considering that the network is ~10 times bigger than PKR alone, the midstakes are going to be ~dead for a few months while the JPs are small.

A consequence of the low traffic is the high likelihood of regs running into each other by accident. 2-reg games are -EV for ~everyone considering the 7% effective net rake (10% minus the 3% coming back in promos) as opposed to Stars' 3.5-4.2% (2.7-3.3% for 2015 SNE). So €50s and perhaps €20s are going to be unbeatable without a Skype group until the JPs grow to ~20K.

The head of poker at MG Alex Scott has stated that the network may reevaluate the JP contribution % after a few months if the high % proves to be too discouraging. According to Alex, the decision to set the JP contrib at 5.17% was influenced by the advice of 'casino experts' that was 'good enough to convince one of [MPN] owners'.

Wow, that seems like a surprisingly slow start, even with the nature of progressives where popularity increases as the jackpot grows. Thanks for the corrections!

I'd rather the matching algorithm be more complex (and disruptive to SW) and the JP fee be 2-2.5% (2x's being less probable and 3x-100x's more probable), but owners and casino experts have their own opinions, you know

Has Stars every made a statement confirming the above? They've previously been (intentionally) vague when asked directly about the seating algorithm.

happens every time i register for a spin and go on my iphone in mexico----

as a result i do not play them as often as i would like...even .50 cents seems like too much risk to take that you are playing polite people who will wait for you.....usually a russian and canadian blinding you off.... good bye .50 scents

Yes, until the JPs grow or the network changes its mind and the paytable. And PKR isn't going to care much about the midstakes. It has just announced a prize draw (with a €5K pool) where points are awarded for playing a €1 (1 point) or €5 (5 points) JP SNG, no points for a €10+ SNG. There are 10 €20 and 10 €10 JP tickets awarded as prizes, but they're not going to help the €10+ traffic much.

I think they've never described the algorithm explicitly. But how would Spinwiz have ever been efficient if the seating hadn't been the same as at PKR now, i.e. mainly 'first come - first served' bar rare exceptions (pairs of 'associated' players who can't be sat together)?

I don't think they're doing anything particularly funky, but it was interesting how they were evasive multiple times on what seemed (from the outside) to be questions that that would have direct/simple answers. (and wouldn't involve protection of trade secrets, data, etc.)

I.e., "We typically seat on a first-come first-served basis, but we will also separate/prevent players from grouping together under x/y/z circumstances, etc. Instead, they just gave no answer like the Q was never asked in the first place (maybe now standard for a Stars support thread!! )

I didn't claim it still existed. I only said it (and similar tools) could be resurrected and rewritten to work with the Microgaming software. I'm sure Alex Scott would eventually take measures against it, though.

take out the 5000x, and if u really want a jackpot make the jackpot between all stakes, almost like slot machine jackpot, doesn't matter if you spin €1 or €50 , maybe give the higher you play more chances of hitting the jackpot..

stop trying to rape the poker players

Thanks, didn't know that worked for spins, but I wanted to know the distributions too. Specifically the chance of playing for a ticket

Nevermind, found it on google: 600 in 100,000

So no million dollar spin at the $5 buy-in this time around? Funny if so.

I'm new with PT4, How do you view chipEV?
When I graph in chips, I just get chip graph

Tick 'Display All-In Equity' to the left of the graph. Tick 'Show Information Box' and configure it to display the stats you'd like to see, including 'All-In Equity Adjusted'.

Divide the expected net chip winnings (the yellow line by default) by the number of tourneys.

Totally random speculation: there is obviously proportionally huge amount of regulars from Hungary in Spin & Go 's. I noticed alot of them have 'No Chat' which means they got their chat banned. I remember when we were kids and used to bot in some online games, we got our chats banned on purpose to avoid being caught by other players.

these things have been kicking my ass the last few days. Dropped over $150 in the 7-15 games (with a few small wins mixed in).
Nothing worse than getting in 80/20 and losing. So sick of the crazy weird stuff that happens.
back to the 3's for me for a while now...maybe.

Twister spins rake:
I first tried googling with no answer, then talking to them in chat and getting the answer "no more than 10%" when I tried getting the specifics.
E-mailed them: "The rake will not be more than 10%"...

Anybody have a link with the specific rake on each level?
