If players want to discuss these new 3 handed games on Stars, feel free to post in here. If we start to get a lot of resources for these games, we'll gather them in the OP here.

Feel free to post hands or talk about how good or bad these games are or anything else (bankroll, strategy, etc.).

You can also post more comprehensive topics (strategy or hands) in separate threads, just make sure to label it "Spin and Go" or "3 handed SNG" with the appropriate title (see the sticky rules for thread title direction).

Update:

First public video on these

You will not leave the table empty-handed if your Spin & Go randomly draws one of the three highest prize tiers but you do not win the tourney. In addition to the first-place prize, the second and third-place finishers will also receive 10% of the first-place prize.
If I understand and did the math correctly, this translates to a payout structure of 83.33/8.33/8.33 for the top three tiers, and the prize pool in those top three tiers is actually 120% of what is listed in the tables.

Yes, the lobby lists a $18K maximum prize pool for the $15s, which is 1200x the BI and by 20% bigger than the top prize alone. I applaud to Stars for this distribution, but even more so for the 4% rake at $7+ (5% at $3 and 7% at the $1 level, the last one is a bit over the top).

Will someone screenshot and post the blinds structure please?

I'm glad you find the rake generally reasonable. It is patterned after our 6max hyper cash SNG rake. As far as I am aware this is the lowest rake available on this type of game.

Why no antes?

FTP doesn't have antes either. Maybe they were following the 'keep it simple' principle. Antes don't change much in 2-3-handed games.

IPoker's jump from 10/20 with no antes to 15/30 with antes of 5 (roughly equivalent to 20/40 with no antes) is horrible. FTP's and Stars' structure allows for 2 levels of semi-deep (I mean, not push/fold) play instead of 1.

It's high time to finally implement automatic dealmaking in the Stars client (as well as the 'add table' button for HUSnG of course).

But as it is, if someone at the table calls a moderator, does the mod have the privileges to pause the game and assist in making a deal?

No deals right now. I agree RE: automatic dealmaking.

On your website: "4% of the prize pool goes to rake"

Is the rake 4% per player or 4% of the total prizepool which means every player pays 1.33% rake (4/3=1.33)

It's per player (which is easily seen if you count the average prizepools, i.e. add up prizes from all the tiers multiplied by their probabilities). And VPPs are awarded accordingly - exactly as many as for 4% rake per player.

Edit: there's no contradiction in their words - when you win the prize, you win about 3 BIs gross on average, and pay about 12% of the BI in rake, but you pay it only about 1/3 of the time, so it evens out to 4% of the BI per game. In tournaments without guarantees, such as SnGs, it doesn't matter where the rake is taken from - the BIs directly or the prize pool - because the prize pool is made up from the BIs anyway.

Arent you worried that fish will have even more opportunity to scream RIGGED since jackpots are relatively rare and there is no way of knowing if there are distributed actually how you state it?
