this is so untrue it's laughable... yes NL omaha changes the game a bit, but saying it becomes unproftiable is lol. Also, there are plenty of hands that are 70/30 and 60/40 favorites in Omaha. You just don't get the 80/20s. Big deal.
I have been thinking of writing a piece (elsewhere) on how tournament Omaha should all be NL. Its just so ******ed playing 10/15bb omaha PL (or any tournament game for that matter). That is how NL holdem came about. Tournaments allowed people to play the "higher risk" form of holdem without risking too much money. And it is my understanding that the reason Omaha was made pot limit (after limit) is mainly to keep games going in casinos so people dont bust as fast, etc. In tournaments that is certainly not what anyone really wants/needs.
