Something else I've requested in the past: If we can't already do this (someone please correct me and tell me how), please make it so that we can turn off the tournament lobby popping up every time a new sng goes off if we don't want that to happen. When multitabling, it's little bits of extra time that add up to x them out and should be something we don't have to deal with if we don't want.

Uncheck "bring lobby to front" and I think you'll achieve what you're talking about.

I dunno about that. I've bought 3 monitors and 3 ipods on full tilt points, which I get for doing what I'm doing anyway.

Nah, they should just give out 1 full tilt point for like 100 hrs of play money playing.

That way they can advertise double points on television commercials without talking about gambling. The casual players will get the point and be the most likely (and probably only) group to care about this promotion.

It doesn't matter if it doesn't do much, it costs like nothing xSCWx. Little risk, decent reward, can't be a terrible idea.

Obviously I would prefer rakeback instead of points, but that doesn't mean I don't care about points.

Of course, I play quite a bit more than the average player, so I guess I see xSCWx's point.

Are we talking about advertising Full Tilt or including HUSNGs in promotions? I think that anything they do for advertising will help the games, but it costs money to advertise and doesn't directly relate to HUSNGs. The advertising itself is expensive, so it really doesn't cost next to nothing either. If we are talking about including HUSNGs in promotions, then I think that giving HUSNG players points that are worth a small fraction of a penny is just as bad as not including them in the promotions in the first place. I might even go as far as to say that it even worse than not including us because it implies that we are stupid enough to think that the points are worth something.

I think people should be more focused on promotions that bring fish to the tables than promotions that give you another 3-5% rakeback.

How about this promotion idea:

Every time you play a husng, you get entered into a pool once. Every day there is a drawing, one player wins and is credited with a buyin to a 4 man freeroll. Either you play other players here for the shot at playing a pro for 5k every 4 days, or you just play 3 FTP pros in a 5k freeroll. The average player won't win more than 20% of the time, so that's 1k a day FTP is giving away in this promotion. If you think that can add in enough volume to justify the expense, it's a good promotion on FTP's end.

On the player's end, this gets people to play more games. It doesn't give incentive to move up and degen, and it gives incentive for players at every level to play more, especially casual players. This is good for the stronger players as well, since weaker players are playing more often.

The more this makes sense on FTP's end (aka the more action increases bc of this promotion) the better it is for the profitable players as well.

i think they're comparable, however i don't think this thread should be focused on bringing fish to the tables at all.

this thread is about changes we need specifically in husngs, like not getting the shaft on promotions (sng madness), not making our games obsolete with super turbos, and possibly some inadequacies of the software that could be remedied.

i'm sure ftp has an entire marketing team who i'm sure is much smarter than we are (about marketing), and i sincerely doubt they have trouble coming up with gimmicks like "freeroll tickets if you play husngs."

The only two dangerous things I see in the husng world on FTP that should be changed immediately, are:

1) Super turbos Lower rake or a structure that allows more of an edge after the rake.

2) High stakes rake Needs to be lowered, especially in the very fast turbo speed structure. It compares unfavorably to the way hu cash rake works as you move up, and those games are rather dead. We're the ones that are playing tougher opponents, not playing one game every other hour, we should be given a lower rake % (or at least the HS guys) so that edges are healthier in those games and not negated so often by the rake. 5-10+ hu cash players don't really have to worry about the rake from what I can tell, whereas husng players are much more prone to falling inside the 50-52% area, especially in high stakes games where the competition is tougher and edges much smaller.

fwiw, this doesn't seem to do it.

personal feedback/preference:

10/20,15/30,20/40,25/50,30/60,50/100 structure for turbos

basically starting from 10/20, and skipping 40/80,
we will still get to 50/100 in 15 min and have more time to play deep.
40/80 is nowhere land, i really don't like it.

that's actually the reason i rarely play on fulltilt.

Skipping 40/80 is so random. Its like gradual increase, gradual increase, gradual increase, BAM! 50/100!

If you want to play deep, play reg speeds or deep stack reg speeds. Don't try to stick more deep play into my turbos!
