I think bankroll management is a utility and psychologically based equation rather than EV. The amount of buyins you would play with from Thailand vs the US should be different values. Generally speaking its similar to an MTT, the value of each dollar you make is worth less than each dollar you lose from a life perspective unless you have some very poker specific goals.

For example Ive almost always played with 250+ buyins for any limit Ive played because for a long time Ive known I didnt want to play poker forever.
