I've been looking at Sager/Alienware. Sager looks really good and the price seems reasonable for what you get. Alienware looks awesome too but seems more expensive overall. Is there any other brands out there that is A+?

One cool feature that i love is the lights on keyboard etc (i know it's lame and stuff but i like it :P ) so if it has that then it's a bonus.!

Also JFC, SC2 is completely owning my life right now. GG poker :P Just as well i have a small business now to give me a steady modest income :P

Also Bryan - I forgot to tell you on skype the other day but FUFUFUFUFUFUFU!! When we played that 4 man game, you stole my natural expansion and said "i have a feeling you won't use this Deano" FUFUFUFUFUFUF, i'm not that newb

Also Cwar - I think i already have you on AIM although i'll add you on Skype too soon and we'll get some games running. (although 2 vs 2 is ******ed! )
ROFL, u def. wernt gonna expo there ;P, f'ing blink stalkers!

I'm thinking of mayyyybe trying to go pro, and if I do, I won't try to be the best, just play reasonably high stakes and an ok ROI, but with high volume. I 4-table and can do it happily 6-12 hours a day, and if get a bigger screen I'll probably be able to 6-table. You really think 2k games a month is too high of a goal?

4 tabling for long period seems optimistic to me

depends on what stakes really, I think you'll burn out actively thinking relatively quickly, and fall into super mediocre sessions /profits + RB. but I dunno, ask other people, but I think most would say the same.

^^also 6-12 hrs a day is absolutely not happening for 2+ months imo, not and still be playing even remotely well

So how many games do u play in a month Primo?? And once ur in a downer or BE stretch what sort of cashout strategy do u use to live on?

Ehhh, usually i cashout when im doing well, like when i was moving to 330/550, i wanted to build my BR as well so id do like, if i start at 15k when i hit 22,500 ill cashout 2500 or 5k (depending on needs), and then rinse/repeat every 7500. So next mark would be 25k, etc.

It all depends on your life needs too. When im on long DS/not confident and say i had 15k playing 550s and 330s, and getting owned, id prolly cashout 6-10k, so im totally comfortable w/bills, etc., and drop to 110s and mix in alot of 4mans (helps me focus and have someone there to check up on my game), and just set goals for when move up or base it on confidence level. Usually dropping down to a level whete your clearly better than people helps build your confidence back quickly cause you can SEE and quantify where your edge is coming from.

(Sry for typos, wrote this from phone, took 10 min lol ;P)

Yeah Ill agree with Primo on that, and this is Primo were talking about. The week I played poker with him, he would be grinding when I woke up, grinding when I went to sleep and outgrinding me during the day and I worked hard that week!

I noticed that U don't use that 100BIs for professional play that seems to be std, what do u think about that?? 50BI is enough??

tyvm Bryan, this is helping me A LOT! Im rly confusing if I should cash out or not, bcuz Im getting owned so hard

maybe if stop playing SC2, lol

Also doc for games/month it was like 1000-1200 when i played turbos/reg speeds, prolly 1500-2500 now that i play STs, but i play higher stakes now (1ks and 2ks more often than i ever did), so i try to put in less 'force volume hours' and more pumping volume when im feeling decent. I still put in like 10+ 100+ game days/month, but i take more days totally off when im not feelin it than i ever used to

I can't believe that starcraft players are telling me that 4-tabling for hours is optimistic

I def am nittier than most w/BRM, I just try not to keep soooo much of my $ online, and also when i drop in stakes im 100% confident im proftiable in the games which is diff than when your trying to move up and testing the waters. The big thing tho is willing to move down, which people have succhhhh a hard time w/. I don't mind taking shots at 30-40 bi of higher level, but don't lose 10+ bi there, ill usually drop back down after 5-7, get br back up and hammer away at it again.

(Also im in a diff situation than most where if i busted my roll online i could pretty easily get 20-50k loaned to me, or insta pick up a stake/etc )

I see, good news is I have zero problems with moving down when running terrible, and Im using a 100BI strat, prob a little bit too nitty

Hehehe, yea that was the hardest i've ever seen you grind, but there was so much motivation there, cause obv 1k days equaled $5 craps w/seth, w00000000t ;p

And that's when we played $100s and 1/2 + 2/4, 1k days were so baller, the $5 craps / weeds eps / and halo w/seth swearing at 11 year olds were so deserved ;P

Edit: yea i was a grinding machine then huh? And def never played more than 1200ish games/mo then (was reg speeding it alot tho, and alot of 4mans w/me and hokies like 84% roi we thought was sustainable )

I think 100BI is definitely too nitty until you're at $200+ games.

For that to be optimal w/ kelly your avg. roi would have to be 1%...or with half-kelly 2%. If your roi is higher than that it is -EV...

I made a simulator that calculated the differences between different BRM strategies earlier this year and the difference can be huge. Assuming you are not emotionally affected by larger buyins, playing a nitty BRM strategy is way more -EV than you might think. I want to find the simulator again, it should be somewhere on my external hdd...

Yeah Concretedonkey, I'd be super interested in taking a look at that simulator as well

you would roll me never had an fide rating but i'd probably be in the range of 1450-1650.. thing is my openings are sort of specialized so when opponents deviate i tend to get stuck like a pig..
