i always played ches as a minor hoby since i am like 4 or 5 years old and if i play friend i usually win have lost like maybe 4 or 5 games over the last 10 years ( have played ilike 20- 50 maybe) and thought i was decent untill i played against a really good player ( he could be grandmaster by now if he hadnt stopped to play competetive) he even started with a rook less and still murdered me, chess is so brutal its not like poker where i can trick my self into believieng i didnt suck. after that i started playing back gammo until i met a oriental rug trader who used to hang out at a syrien cafe, yusef was his name and yusef destroyed my confidence in my skill as back gammon player. i am just waitng for the day i make it up to the 200+ husngs and one of the sickos starts doing the same **** to me.

I'm looking for advice on gaming laptops. I need one pretty badly and don't want to build/buy a PC since i hate sitting at a desk 24/7, i mean it's ok sometimes but i like chilling on bed and also i spend time between mine and gfs so i need a laptop really.

I've been looking at Sager/Alienware. Sager looks really good and the price seems reasonable for what you get. Alienware looks awesome too but seems more expensive overall. Is there any other brands out there that is A+?

One cool feature that i love is the lights on keyboard etc (i know it's lame and stuff but i like it :P ) so if it has that then it's a bonus.!

I bought an Alienware laptop a few weeks ago, it's really expensive compared to what you're getting and it's made for 14 year old counter strike nerds, with flashing lights and lit keyboard etc :P But yeah, other than that I'm happy about it. I'm not sure I have the balls to try and use it in public though, it looks so cheesy lol

Maybe I just don't like sleeping with my laptop that much...but if it's only home use, I'd get a PC.

Yea Im like never on AIM these days but on Skype a lot, 2v2 is so weird I just dont get it .

Volume my friend, volume is the key...1K games is nothing, If I really dedicate myself I could easily have put those 3.800 games in 3 months instead of 10...things that I found to hold me back:

1 - Stop playing after huge winning sessions
2 - Not treating it like a business
3 - Not acepting the short-term variance ( tilting a lot! :P)

If I decided to go pro, pretty sure I'd get in 2k+ games/month. I mean it took me less than two weeks to play 1k games... Think I'm gonna try to play 4k games in December.

That's like 1.5k in rakeback alone.

yea we used to play for $ in the LC thread all the time, the forum was addicted, we all played on pogo (HU and 4 person FFA)

ehhh, if you move up to a point where you go pro, and arent playing STs, I highly doubt you'll make 2k games / month regularly. I think I play pretty high volume compared to most, even pre-STs, and its just not feasible to keep your A game through that long-term (IMO)

even with sts 2k game would be high volume for me
