While many people's initial thought would be similar to yours (and some do go that route which is also valid), I've found a few of the great minds that have made content over the years really get a lot of value out of teaching others and tend to succeed in many facets of life due to intelligence, an open mind and the courage/confidence to put their stuff out there for all to see and critique. Mersenneary would be an earlier example, and Lotte is cut from the same cloth in my opinion. Mersenneary was really a pioneer in that regard, he had so many regs at the time hating on his idea to do videos that he required his early videos to be called "end game" instead of super/hyper turbos. He quickly realized that was unnecessary, but it is a reflection of what peer pressure and someone else's agenda can do to your thought process in a situation like this.
And if you get value out of teaching and want to reach the widest amount of people, it makes full sense to do it this way.
It's not like it's going to "hurt the games" or whatever. That's long been proven to be pretty much fallacy. Any game so simple as to die from a video pack would've dried up soon after. HUSNGs have been remarkably resilient, people are making thousands a week at them despite the external factors that have been incredibly negative for years (US leaving market, segregation of other major countries, gray areas in others that scares casuals away, Stars cutting rewards and/or raising rake).
I've already seen several players email and ask about this pack who don't even play HUSNGs. They see a pack by a player that has made millions in profit and they feel more confident in giving a new variant a chance. Plenty will never stick with it after the first tough downswing, but some will work through it and succeed. But the pattern there is that it creates interest from other games. Few people find a game with the appearance of a good ole boys club attractive. That's why it has been so important for everyone to work hard to keep divisions fair and transparent, but still likely was a large net negative for HUSNGs (but really no viable alternative).
Anyways, I'm sure he's coaching privately for his own stable, and while this pack is excellent, there's no replacement for constant small group coaching (private group coaching obviously costs over tenfold what this pack costs though).
