Okay so i lost a huge chunk of my BR due to bad management, tilt and playing long sessions while playing poorly, now I'm starting back from the bottom of the chain. I have restricted my tourney buy ins to $1,50 but i have 61 BI's for the $3,50 level. Should i keep grinding the $1,50's till i reach the 100 BI level and keep paying the higher percentage of rake or should i just go ahead and play the $3,50 with this BR?
What do you suggest?
And also is the game play at the $7,00 level much different from the $1,50?

Thanks for your time

I play the hypers so not sure if this applies to you...

The rake at $1.50 is about %4, at the $3.50s its ~3%. tbh the play is pretty much identical. Personally i think you should move up as soon as possible, i recently started playing the $7s after playing the $3.50s and $1.50s for a while and the rake there is ~%2, over time this will make a huge difference to your winnings.

I think the play in the $3.50s and $1.50s is the same. At the $7s there is more aggression, people try to get more value out of their hands and generally think a little more about how to do it. I find that quite a few players will c/r bluff dry flops for example, especially paired boards.. i didnt really notice this at the micros. They are still really bad and are very exploitable, but it requires a little more thinking on your part.

Hope that helps.

And is it working out for you?
Also what stop loss do you use.

Actually there is not difference between 1.5 and 3.5 by player skill, also I would like to admit that at 7s players aren't much smarter or better(probably not many gonna agree with me), on both 1.5, 3.5, 7 you gonna see busted irl reg's who are playing technicaly right game but still doing somewhere small mistakes what is the reason why they haven't moved up with their -2% roi and of course typical morons who are jaming every face card. It's up to you to play "right" poker with BM or not, just to admit that hypers are swingy as hell,so be ready to deal with -20bi++ swings.

Personally I play with 168bi roll at the moment and 90% of games is none turbo HU or turbo. I set a goal to move up next stake when I reach next level 80bi, but as you said you are going to play hypers I really suggest 100bi+

About tilt. Well, you can't do anything about it, I prefer theoretically play less tables move down stakes but in reality I'm making 2x longer sessions trying to get my loss money and it's not working most of the time. I'm really emotional and easy tilted guy so for me it's hard problem either. Just pray! maybe God will hear you and will give you some peace of sunday million final table.

Sorry about my English!

50 bis is more than enough to move up all the way until $60s for hypers, For 60s I suggest 100 bis.. Move up and dont look back..
