PokerStars - 20/40 NL (3 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: 740
Hero (BB): 760

SB posts SB 20, Hero posts BB 40

Pre Flop: (pot: 60) Hero has 8 7

SB raises to 80, Hero calls 40

Flop: (160, 2 players) 4 T 5
Hero checks, SB checks

Turn: (160, 2 players) 7
Hero checks, SB bets 120, Hero calls 120

River: (400, 2 players) 4
Hero checks, SB bets 240, Hero?

sample is small, but oppo ( which given the small sample I believe to be a recreational player) has been aggro like 8 times on 14 spots on the turn and 2 times out of 8 on the flop ( 3handed and 2 handed combined)
I basically check turn to give him the chance to bluff... river is a bit too big imho to call comfortably. what do you think?

you need to be good something like 35%, Im calling this even readless if I check turn.
Also you think he bluffs turns a lot, so you dont lead this, which is fine, but than knowing that, you fold river vs such a small bet? Kinda doesnt make sense, also not sure you can call this bet big, its basically 1/2 pot, does it even get smaller than this?
