Mid pair oop against unknown villain Mid pair oop against unknown villain

A little curious about this hand. Pretty sure the fold was good, but what would you guys put this villain on? Played 7-8 hands w. him where he both raised and limped. The limped gets thinking that he doesn't have an ace, or maybe a small one. Other than that I think it could be random 2p, otherwise an insane bluff.

Thoughts??

that line doesnt make much sense to me, but against unknown its a fold. (maybe QJ hence the turn bet with the DGS?)

Unless you have a read that he limps weak Ax I'd say he was playing a flush draw agressively or possibly T5? The jam on the river just looked like he could've missed his draw but was committed to firing 3 barrels when the K hit on the river. When you just flat his raise on the flop he feels safe you don't have an A puts you on a T or a 5 and decides to barrel you off. If you raised any of his limps previously he has even more reason to believe you won't have an A in your check back range.

Yeah, I agree - Don't you think the bets are too big to be a gutshot?

I agree - I'm a lot on the T5 or a missed draw as well.

Ya i was gonna say. There are many hands we can raise preflop for value against a limp...

Agree, ISO is the way to go pre, as played is a weird line and the sizing otr specially, i don't know what he represents but i think is ok to fold in that spot.
