Date - As soon as we have 16 players we can start

Rules

1. 16 players (can increase if enough interest)

2. The bracket will be randomised from someone not in the event.

3. - You will contact your opponent and play the best of 25 games. You can stop once the winner hits 13 wins or you can continue to play for fun if you both agree.

4. You can play any stakes you's agree on however the std BI for games will be set at $5 and mostly to save rake.

5. The structure of games will be reg speed on FTP and turbos on stars. The structures are pretty similar anyway. If both opponents play exclusively on a different site and can't agree on the site to play at, then it will be randomised from someone not in the event.

6. If there's any problems/disputes then the arbiter will decide on whats right/wrong. His decision will be final and those who enter the tournament have to understand this prior to playing.

7. Both players must confirm when they're about to play in this thread so we can track on Sharkscope and any other tracking site if neccessary.

8. All participents must have their stats unblocked/reset so we can track results.

9. Both players will have one week to play out the games. It would be awesome if you's can play out the games far quicker though and that way the tournament can progress much faster. If someone takes longer than one week then they'll be disqualified (no refund); no exceptions. If there is any weird situations or problems, then ChicagoRy will decide and his decision is final.

10. When playing your games, the minimum amount of tables will be set at 2.


Payout structure based on 16 players.

1st: $1600
2nd: $800
3rd: $400
4th: $400

Sorry, but it has to be FTP reg speed as they are almost identicle to stars turbos. It's the only fair way to do it so people signing up are absolutely aware that they're playing a 75bb eff stack structure. The structures are a little different from stars and ftp, but it's as close as you're gona get.

However; if you get drawn against someone who is happy to play 31 games at ftp turbos, then you can go ahead and do so i guess. I don't see any problems with that as it won't change anything for anybody else i guess. But there's no guarentees of that of course and that's why we need to set standard structures to save problems etc.

no worries, i appreciate the response. my thought is that 31 matches is already a lot, and at reg speeds it would take forever imo. i like the idea though.

The buy in is too big for me. I'd be in for a buy in smaller than or equal to 100, but preferably something like 50.

That's fine. You can escrow on Pokerstars. In the event that you might need to play out your games on FTP, you'll need someone to xfer you some $ on there. It won't be hard getting xfers for this if everyone is only playing $5 level games for the rounds.

Typical aussie, greedy At least you won't sleep in for this one if you play!


Also I'd like to reserve spots for Barewire/Primo. Barewire is at work right now but def wants to play afaik. And Bryan is sleeping but says he'll probs play.

regarding rule 9, it can be pretty hard to figure out whos fault it is if two players can't find a time that works for them. as written now, it looks like the rule is just that both ppl are disqualified if their match doesn't happen in a week, but this could be unfair in the case that one person is trying to get a time set up and one person isn't. i guess these things aren't too likely given the structure, but it's good to think about them beforehand anyway imo.

also, i'd say, regarding rule 10, ppl should be able to 1table if both players agree?

also, can we get barewire's city/letter/avatar for the transfers?

n/o to anyone but if it turns out that the tourney does fill up quick and there's people left out, i'd vote we give preference based on forum-regularness more than first-in-this-threadness.

also, i'm not really ok w/ posting my screennames, altho i don't mind giving them out over pm/aim, and they're probably known to a lot of you anyway. this isn't a deal-breaker is it?

Also I think rule 9 is kinda sketchy to decide so maybe chicagory can come up with something, and rule 10 is unnecessary as long as they get done with 31 games but i agree that 2 should be the standard and playing 1 table needs to be agreed upon by BOTH parties for it to happen

Anyone have thoughts on the payout structure? I kinda prefer if there was a bronze match and only top 3 paid like how we set up the cash tournament but if the majority likes this structure I'm okay with it

Yeah it is def unlikely since if you're going to pay $200 for this MTT, and with it being 2+2, I'm sure people will look to make it run smooth as possible. I mean it's only 31 games; how hard can it be? :P If someone feels that their opponent is being unreasonable then they should post in this thread about the situation and list the times he's willing to play. People should contact each other after the draw so they can arrange this and if any problems occur, we can sort them out.

If both agree then that's fine ofc. But i'd like the std to be set at min 2 tables so that a, it makes the mtt faster. And b, it appeals a little more to cash players who might get bored playing just one :P
