The shorter we make it the less interesting it becomes IMO. If the only way we can get this to fill is make it 25 then that's fine but I'd prefer more obv.

Yeah I'm going back and forth with what i think is best tbh. I mean more games means more skill obviously but is that what we want? I think we're just trying to run a fun tournament here for the 2+2 community and not cut into peoples time too much considering a lot of the people who will play have to grind vs easier players. I don't think 31 games is a lot tbh but i still think it's enough to put some people off. I think if the BI was higher, then I'd be much happier to play more games.

After reading everything throughout the thread, I'm going to cut the games down to 25 and if anyone doesn't want to play that format, they can of course just PM Barewire and ask for $ back.

When it comes down to the final, in the spirit of things, i wouldn't like to see any deals either. What do people think of that? I should have included that in OP i guess. Not sure if that's reasonable or w/e but it would be a shame if we couldn't rail some fun games in the final or w/e. Also i guess the final 2 can agree on more games also if they want but the std should be set at 25.

I'll PM a MOD to edit the games rule and also modify a couple of others.

yeah 25 is fine... even 31 is tiny obviously, so its not that much diff 31 - 25 really...

He'll need to escrow to secure his spot like everyone else in this thread. There is plenty of people who 'are good for it' that have said their in and haven't escrowed so i don't see any difference tbh. Once you escrow which takes 30 secs to transfer, then holla.

Didn't send yet. checked further and it seems like I am in a hotel with an internet connection from 29th(sunday) evening, but I have classes monday morning, but can probably play in the evening on monday and probably nighttime sunday-monday. Anyway cliffs: I will definitely be able to play out first match within a week from 29th but can't promise being able to finish playing them sunday/monday/tuesday. With that in mind should I send now? If someone else comes earlier they can take my place obv.

not really up to me but i think thats plenty of time if you want to play, this would get done in one session most likely so you dont need to be free all week

im out if it drops below 31. that was already a pretty big concession -- should be more like 100 at least.

if u just wanna play a game or 2 vs a reg, this isn't the place to do that. there's a gazillion of them in the lobby at any time of day, take your pick.

it's just a time constraint thing, it's hard to organize 16 people and have them escrow money and end up playing a tournament that takes months under a longer structure. obviously there's a good amount of variance in 25 games but i think it's best that it isn't any longer. just lmk if you want out

If it's best-of-25 and minimum of two tables, shouldn't that be like one session? Why is there a mention of weeks or even days, this should be done in a few hours at most. Even if you do have a job, school or whatever i don't see a reason why one round should take longer than 1 session.
