I am looking for a 30$ hyper reg to play me for 250 games.

The Stars promo led me to make this thread:

I want to improve and evaluate my game vs regs, and my sample size is never big, because i stop sitting them or they stop sitting me.

Also i want to 2-table, which is a big leak of mine, I mainly single table and have big problems two tabling. I want to improve there also

To qualify you must be:

- 30$ hyper reg (sorry, no 60s and 100s regs accepted)
- two table (this alone should give some of you a edge over me, at least at the beginning)
- analyse our games after the sessions the 250 games are completed

ty kgb, first session bluenowhere owned me; i knew i was bad and only winning because others are much worse, but i didn't knew i was this bad...

good training imo, if pokerstars continues this promotion after July i def will do one reg battle per month.

I never two tabled this long (82 games). If I learn to properly two table it is worth the money i loose

Also probably worth a lot when someone tells you all the things they thought you did badly. Being able to two able and play better against regs makes you way more money in long term then any ev lost in these matches.

Hello Heads-Up Sit & Go player,

We're running a promotion in July to reward 2-player cash Heads-Up Sit & Go players who play many tournaments against the same opponent. As you've played many such tournaments this year, I thought you might be interested in the details.

If you play the same opponent at least 250 times this month at this game type, you'll get awarded an extra 1.5 FPPs for every VPP earned during those matches. The games will all need to be within the same stakes range as defined in our lobby tabs:

High is $100+
Medium is $30s and $60s
Low is $7s and $15s
Micro is $1.50s and $3.50s

This promotion definitely isn't for everyone, as playing the same opponent 250 times is quite a commitment. If you do have a grudge to work out against a particular player, though, this is the month to go for it!


Promotion Example: During the month of July, Ike Haxton and nanonoko play 200 $5,000 Turbo HUSNG and 100 $1,000 Hyper Turbo HUSNG. They also each play many other HUSNG against other players.

Because they have played 250 or more high stakes HUSNG in total against one another, they earn extra FPPs for all of them. They do not earn extra FPPs for their other HUSNG.

Each player earns 346.5 VPPs for each $5,000 Turbo and 61.6 VPPs for each $1,000 hyper, totalling (346.5 * 200) + (61.6 * 100) = 75,460 VPPs.

On August 2nd each player will be awarded 113,190 (75,460 * 1.5) extra FPPs as their reward for participation in this promotion.

Buxt0n I will accept. I was playing $7's a few weeks ago now at $15's. You can check my stats--"Poisonlolz" on pokerstars. Ofc I don't mind playing either $15's or $7's since this is mainly for fun/learning rather than profit.

I think it will be a great idea to do a session review to talk about what strengths and weaknesses we saw in each others games and how we adapted

But more seriously i have to work from middle to end of July a ton, and can do something like this only in August.

If i feel i have learned a lot from this battle I am more then willing to do once a month.

Also i hope Pokerstars continues this promotion for the rest of the year (I agree with most that 250 games are probably too much for low stakes, but the FPP reward is awesome and reduces rake by a lot so it could be well worth playing good players)

Also I agree we should analyze our games in depth afterwards.

I think this is awesome, and hope a few of these go off. I think it's pretty clear also that these are "extra" games/rake being generated thanks to Stars promotion, so they should consider it money well spent and I hope they continue the promotion in the future

i really hope this promotion (or similar whatever) goes beyond july. Seems it wasn't a big deal for Stars, so they should go on with it.

Bluenowhere and me finished our 250 games, and I am pretty sure it was one of the most important experiences i made since i started playing husng. It was easy sitting there with sharky and playing complete droolers. Too fast I felt like a good player. The way my opponent outplayed me in those games showed me how much room there still is for improvement.

Now it is time to regroup, learn, rebuild roll, and then go for the next reg in August (ohly? )

The idea to get more rakeback for these games helps getting motivate to arrange this games, and I am glad i could arrange this one, because everytime i tried to sit a reg for a few games on pokerstars, they started to berate me (of course there were exceptions, kgbking for example is a great sports man).

So having this little reg wars without bad blood is awesome

Ohh, so you're asso2006 GL for next month+next reg.

I think these experiences will help a ton when you'll move up to 60s (more regwars, and much better regs, so it's a good training for that)

Are you willing to post some results and findings of the 250 games?

Nice try from PS to get more action, and make more rake from players.

Hope U guys will get much more benefit from that, than PS from U.

I will post the results, we are going to discuss the games tomorrow at some point and if stone75 wants to post findings that is fine. I won't post anything about this though cos I don't think it would be right.
