First hand of husng, against unknown,

LIMP- and what Intel is gained?
MIN-RAISE- and what Intel is gained?

What action gains the most Intel?

Cards are no issue concerning question.

Just some food for thought. Gl

i dont think you get any intel really unless they vary the approach and sizing.

i learned from someone long ago to limp pretty much any hand pre 25/50 level, but also to raise your range and fold the rest. maybe poker has changed that much, but vs an unknown it generally doesn't give you anything.

is not a matter of intel gained, is a matter of exploiting edges, the majority of fish will fold more than enough to min-raises to make it profitable compared to limping.

It is a matter of Intel gained because, with all due respect, that was the question.
If I limp, limp gets punished, that's Intel
If I min, opponent folds, that's intel
What opinions are gathered this early, and if were talking exploiting edges then how, looking forward on Intel gained.

Your actions should be based on the expectation of the hand vs population. Like 73o mostly will be best limped and thats what you should always do. While doing so you will also get some intel like how much villain will raise your limp, if its too much you should adjust and just openfold.
But to answer your question I guess limping will get more intel for me because high iso will change my game the most, so fastest way to get reads on villains iso is to limp, but that doesnt mean I will limp KK 2nd hand in the game.

I would agree with the original answer that as you have no intel it is likely most profitable to raise.

Over the course of a slow game maybe slip in some limps for those "intel" reasons, but they don't really become that useful until have played 50 hands, or so (of course even that is small sample, but any information is better than nothing).

Play whatever strategy you feel is optimal vs a random, take plenty of notes and then if you meet them again adjust.

If I have no intel (and I am struggling to find any), on a particular opponent after several games, then I may limp a hand that is marginal limp/raise for that reason, but normally there are enough hands in my happy limping range that I would hope to get information anyhow, just by playing my normal game.

Just standard limps should be alright, or my standard anyway. T9o is a limp every-
time, unless you have a read one way, or another (you should have a read most of the time. )

obviously, the max-intel play is to limp-raise. since we are playing max-intel, don't forget to never fold anywhere postflop.
