JJ in 3bet pot JJ in 3bet pot

i seem to only post "JJ in 3bet pot" threads, so probably i spotted a leak...

villain plays taggish preflop but doesn't seem to like folding postflop.
for example he called my preflop raise with shortish stx, c/c AT4 2 spades, turn brings 3rd spade, goes ck ck, he fires brick river with K9o. so definitely the floaty type of player.

also he opened about half of his hands and has yet to fold to a 3bet. i try to experiment with bet sizes, is this too small as a cbet? whats my plan on the turn? help in this spot is much appreciated!

NL Holdem $20(BB) Replayer
Hero ($1,250)
($1,750)

Dealt to Hero J J

raises to $60, Hero raises to $180, calls $120

FLOP ($360) Q 7 7

Hero bets $150, calls $150

TURN ($660) Q 7 7 4

I think there might be one more street of value against weaker pairs or A-hi. I'm not sure whether the turn or river would be a better place to bet though.

He turned some sdpot into a bluff (the K9 hand), so ch-ca turn and if it checked through bet river might be optimal. He waited till the river to bluff though, in that hand.

check flop. Most people ship lower PPs preflop anyways, so you should discount that from his range. You're value betting against ace high as often as you're towning yourself against Qx and 7x.

i think checking flop is best, esp. because this is the type of flop i'd check AA,KK,QQ, etc- you can bet turn and get called all day w/ A hi from floaty player, and maybe squeeze out a river value bet (or ch/call bc of that earlier weird play w/ K9 you mentioned).

i disagree, i think 22-55 could easily call a 3bet, OP didn't mention villain 4bet shipping yet, just flatting multiple 3bets.

I like c-betting here because checking in this board looks a lot stronger. And if you want value from ace highs flop is the place to do it. On the turn you can check and he will check back with ace high and you can value bet a non K or A river, even a Q.
