Why did you go for a check raise on the river? And what are you trying to represent?

I am curious with what kind of hand you decided to make this play as well.

Not sure about villain's call. Without reads I would just fold (when playing A game). But sometimes I might call it off, because I can level myself that he is bluffing (thing is, that when they c/r the river... well, it is tough hehe).

Anyways, if I was in villain shoes - I'd bet this flop, because villain has almost no backdoor equity.

I thought he is trying to rep the Ace and on the river no further draw arrived so he could continue barreling. I would play trips of 5s in this case just like that to allow him another stab as I look really weak (opposed to the hammerleadout often seen by fish). His riverbetsize left a large stack behind and I thought even if he has the Ace he is probably herofolding and continue with a vital stack of 16bbs.

I dont have great experience but a river c/r from a competent player (if he sees me like that) should be tough to call here.

I don't think this hand is a mandatory flop bet at all. It also seems quite clear hero is repping 5x and he should certainly have some 5s that play like this.

As for villain, if he's folding all his Ax then what's he calling here?

This hand seemed interesting so I took a look in solver. I used simple sizings so it could be different but I dont think it will differ much.

Otr Ax calls basically 50/50 leaning slightly towards calling, and BB xjams some of 5x and 7x, because BB has almost no draws otr, they are used for turn probing, turn xraising and river donking. But idk why 7x is xjaming sometimes, bb still has a bunch of weaker hands they x/call like 2x and K highs

Thats in theory, in practice we prob could assume most people are kinda scared to bluff probe this turn and are check/calling more than they should with strong hands and draws, with a thought of letting SB bluff turn and river because of A, so basically never xraising, so because of this SB delays a lot and very thin(and you also should do this in practice) and because of this SB will also have a lot of trips otr and doesnt even need to call that many Ax to be good. And id say more often than not people will just x/fold their draws otr so imo just call your best Ax and fold rest and you should be good.

Fwiw if Im playing fish Id snap fold all Ax in this spot

As for BB play, while this play will be ok vs someone who delays and barrels a lot, imo donking all your air on this particular river will be better and just xraise turn a bunch vs someone auto betting this turn
