this was published in 2p2 mag, and there's a section titled "The advantage in this game goes to the big blind" which was the conclusion of one researcher who studied a game with no betting besides preflop.

i'm ok mersenneary's view, or i could just cha-cha this and settle it once and for all

BB is the NEW SB, 2x'ing is the new 3x'ing, no money HU everyone solid

The main difference between Selby's game and real NLHU is that there is postflop play in the games we play. There is only one round of betting where BB is last and the least amount of money is wagered in this round, so it's pretty obvious why SB has a huge advantage 100+ bb deep even tho he acts first preflop.

With stax below 8bb (not sure about the exact number but it should be about 8bb), you can take the Nash equilibrium chart, put it into Pokerstove and you'll see that SB has the edge which is prob coz he only loses 0.5bb when he doesn't wanna play while BB loses 1bb. At 8-12bb it gets murky coz BB gains a small edge from SB using a push/fold strategy, prob coz he wins if neither player wants to play his hand; tho SB can also use a limping strategy which complicates things and I can't say anything about it coz I don't have a sample size of limped pots ~10bb deep vs good players

Over that kind of sample size you might just be winning more in the BB when the vast majority of chips go in, end game etc.

Low sample, although still pretty weird to win more chips in BB than in the SB.
