Hyper they iso, they cbet

when they iso, I expect the cbet alot. Now he checks this blank turn and I wonder if I have to bluff or just check and try to realise equity.

PokerStars - 10/20 NL (2 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BB: 31 BB
Hero (SB): 19 BB

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has T Q

Hero calls 0.5 BB, BB raises to 3 BB, Hero calls 2 BB

Flop: (6 BB, 2 players) 4 8 J
BB bets 3 BB, Hero calls 3 BB

Turn: (12 BB, 2 players) 2
BB checks, Hero has almost exactly 1 psb left

Given the stackot ratio I just check it and try to realize the equity.

Once villain checks again, I bluff otr and expect a lot of folds.

If this is readless, I would just minraise it pre btw.

You could bet 3BB to take advantage of a capped-weak range when a typical player checks this turn, should have a lot of fold equity not too worried about being blown off the equity we do have, would check T9 or 65. Always nice blocking a heart so we face less x/r but probably rare in any case.

I think we have a profitable jam pre.

Turn is close I guess. I don't mind jamming. Checking back and bluff on brick rivers is also fine

Jam pre is quite bad

Re: Hyper they iso, they cbet

Actually I guess the ev of open shoving in equilibrium is probably not that much worse than limping or minraising but we should not really have an open shoving range at this depth. Ev of limping or minraising will also be much much higher vs weaker opponents whereas ev of shoving will not change that much. My saying it was 'quite' bad was more about how it is a simple mistake rather than a large one.
