How long time is this.
hrmm, I dunno, maybe 3-4 months, it could be pushing 5ish now, 110s-330s mostly, recently is almost 100% 330s.
the downswing was worse than it seems (due to 4man chops) as the upswing is a bit worse than it seems (also due to 4man chops), but I dunno, I just kinda deal w/it, i've always been super swingy (see stars graph below):
But even with that, I play a ton of 4mans so that !@))$s up my graph alot both ways, my upswings are usually small than they seem, and my downswings too, but I do have big swings compared to most regardless, but i've only had one losing month in the last 2 years (December of last yr, like 11 months ago or whatever) so it's kind of easy to keep my head up. Granted i've had alot of mediocre months this year which is frusterating (alot of 3-4k months), I also had the 100k score at WSOP (I only had 20ish%) and a 30k+ month in July, so I dunno, it all evens out, I play more games than most and play my C-game way more than most, so my results arent as amazing as I would hope would be, but I still make a very solid living and when you have a nice security net of $ and know regardless you are still turning a profit consistantly every month, it makes the swings alot easier to cope with.
However that said, I think that is probably more of a bad thing than a good thing, I think it allows me to be too complacent with mediocre results, which is something im working on. This month I started off CRUSHING (+12k in 5 days), and I am obviously running very well, however that said I am doing a TON of things differently, I am usually playing like 2 hr sessions, spaced out throughout the day (because i'm travelling in Europe we go out and do things alot), so I wake up, eat breakfast, relax, get my mind ready, and then play from like 2pm-4pm, go out and do some things, then sometimes play like 8-10pm, and then I will play alot from like 2am til 4-5am when she goes to sleep. Also I have recently been making sure every night after my session before I go to bed I take some time to just mentally go over the session briefly, just to give myself some final thoughts on it, closure, go to bed.
PREVIOUSLY, my days would be like, i'd wake up at like 10am, dont wake up / eat breakfast / anything, sit down at PC, start grinding ;p, and many times play 6-8 hour sessions straight. Also, when I would do a second session at night alot of times when the session ends, good or bad, I would just get off comp and go straight to bed and immediately fall asleep, and I think having this 'cool down' period where I just sit awake in bed for 5 min or whatever and think about it and get it all out of my mind helps alot.
So anyways, that turned into a ridic long post, but the point is, I have been doing alot of things differently since ive been on this trip, not by a direct choice but just because of the nature of vacation, obv running well has helped boost my confidence but I dont think it can only be attributed to that, so i've been trying to disect exactly which things i'm doing differently and quantify how much they help me, I think the waking up in the morning / cooling down at night really helps alot, as well as keeping my sessions to 2 hours or so with alot of space in between are the most important things, so I will continue to try to implement these things when I get back, and see how it goes. The problem for me usually is being able to keep entertained during the down-time, which is easy now when i'm on vacation, but when im around at home and bored I play poker alot when i'm just bored, which is a HORRIBLE habit, and I super respect people like spamz who really only play when they actually feel like playing, so i'm trying to get more and more towards at least only playing when I feel A+.
/rant, tl;dr :P
