I've made the switch to stopping using sharkscope/tracking sites now that it's explicit (except as allowed). I've gotten to know most of the people who play anyway and it's not like I'm trying to play only losers, especially as things get reggier, hourly ftw.

i just play vs anyone i don't know; i mainly use sharkscope to keep track of my own winnings/sessions so i can easily do that while ftp is shut down

and thx everyone i hope i can defend my title once sharkscope tracks ftp again

as you can see sharkscope made it into the list now. Are you guys still using it? I understand if they take action against players who make fun of the opponent´s bad stats, but it´s stupid to ban it. When i´m playing in a chess tournament i also know the elo rating of my opponent.

Yeah, I saw him sitting earlier. Wasn't a whole lot of action so I was about to sit him but as soon as I clicked register, someone else had already sat. Didn't realize he was 4 tabling though. Now I wish I would have sat him faster, hah.

Okay I am reading up on the IRC thing now. Anyone ever set one of these up before? Predator wants one for each stake/speed. I think the traffic will be low enough we can start out with one. We can always add more later. Any opinions?

I think if we agree on channel names then people can just look them up or create them if they don't exist.

Maybe use: <Site>_HU_<Stake>_<Speed>

e.g

I haven't used IRC in yeeears so don't remember much. But Pred's idea sounds good. Standardize the title layout so easy to find and create.

Oh, and I like having separate rooms per stake/speed. Keep it organized from the beginning.

Okay, anyone have experience with a good place to host it. I was looking into efnet but I didn't really wanna get into having to deal with bots. Also it would be nice to have it somewhere where we can register a sn.
