i'm sure this has been talked about before... but is the popular consensus on showing cards? The whole time i've played on stars, i've had auto-muck on... so i don't think i've ever showed cards. i've always just assumed that 1) it's faster to have auto-muck on and i don't have to click that extra button every time. 2) i wanted to protect the way that i play, and i thought that i might be giving too much away if i started showing a lot of hands... 3) always wanted to keep my opponents guessing, and therefore there was no need to give away any extra information.

however, i've thought of some good reasons to take auto-muck off, and show cards in very specific circumstances. the best oppertunity i think would be to show a big bluff to put a guy on tilt. If you show him a big bluff with total air (and a crap hand to begin with maybe) that can really put your opponent on tilt... and i think many fish will then also think that you are a really big fish for making a big bluff. So if you muck, the fish might just assume that i've got the nuts again, and the fish gets frustered and quits because he will always think that you've had great hands (since when you showdown, you've had strong hands, and other times when he folds to your bets, you might have been bluffing, but your fish opponent percieves it as having the nuts again). So once you show a bluff... the fish might hang around and try to catch you bluffing again. So once you show a bluff to a tilt-fish... then you have to try to mimic your bluff behaviour, except do it with stronger cards... you can even turn a normal top pair hand into an overbet bluff or something and watch the guy call you with second pair since he thought your range was bluff or nuts and thought it looked like a bluff... but in reality, it was just a normal top pair descent kicker hand, where you have a second pair crushed to 5 outs.

but then you'll start making too many bluffs with total air in an attempt to tilt him.

i think you can actually make "good" money 4 tabling the 20s. i struggle to 4 table any meaningful stakes but the villians are so lol its a breeze at the 20s. I think like 15 roi is pretty sustainable. this is a very small sample mind you. maybe cause its 5 am and im a little drunk and just got back, who knows?

at 25 games/hr, 15 roi + rb, thats like 75 an hour. That can't be right. gotta carry those ones i guess.
