The first rule of being a pro, short term results should be totally ignored, whether it's a day or a week, that's far too short in almost any form of poker to draw meaningful conclusion or to focus on, it's just a small part of the bigger picture.
You also have to expect that your winrate isn't very big right now. You just switched over from heads up cash, a deep stack game. Short stack HU poker is far different, you can't jump into it and expect to be a top reg with a top reg's winrate in the first few days. That's no offense to you, it works in the opposite way too, really, anyone that has never played above 25bb is going to have a learning curve to become a 100bb+ expert.
The short answer is, it can be torture for some, but others seem to have quite a smooth time. Like all forms of poker, really.
just drunk a heap of booze but if i read this correctly then here is my opinion..... way back when hypers were introduced to fulltilt. I think u started with 300 chips. I was making tonnes on euro sites, i saw this new game and played perhaps ten hypers on fulltilt. I lost NINE of the ten to 2 or 3 outters. So basically in 9 of 10 games I lost I was 70% or more to win. ROI was higher back then. SO rather than say long term i would win in these spots i said what a load of **** and went back to my tried and tested gtd profit games.
Then my second introduction to hypers was when fulltilt closed down and pokerstars introduced them. Overnight 75% of hu turbo went to hypers and former fulltilt hyper players such as skaiwalker and mocachoca made huge sums short term,
Soon after sharkystrator came out and people went beyond their skill level because of it,
But finally, it was a great player like skaiwalker or someone who said a reasonable hyper hu sng sample was like 10,000 games and i thought what bull****. Then earlier this year just to annoy people i played hyper hu sng to annoy the hyper cartel. I downloaded poker tracker or whatever and saw in days i lost thousands to ev. Anyways i played good and lost loads, so i emailed pokerstars to ban me from hypers even tho i played good. It really is a case of if i cashed in SM for $200,000 i would be fearless and would crush the 60-100 hypers and even if lose would profit from making SNE,
I struggle to make friends with people in online poker as i am so stubborn and gangster. However if u can be a nerd and make friends with other regs do so, u instantly improve ur roi in a non ability kind of way.
At times i may not show it....but i really do love almost all of you. There are just a few who are clearly paedophile ****s who i do want to burn on the stake
