How could you say that stats don't mean ****. If the numbers are backed up by volume then they do mean quite a bit.

Stats mean a lot, but not in the context of reg vs reg edges.

Some guys play and adjust much better to other types of players and this often does not correlate at all with the stats these players have.

Some of the tougher guys to play against are often lags that sometimes don't adjust well to certain types of fish but play very well and tough against other regulars.

Spamz and skilled can talk about this a bit more, bcm, skates, croix and probably even primo (dean too, and others I'm forgetting) since those guys have played a lot more regulars than I ever have.

i certainly didnt meant to imply that these players werent good or that their stats dont mean anything at all, beacuse obv they are an idication of thier success, but i wouldnt not play someone beacuse they have won in the past. i would not sit someone based on how they play agianst me though. so no disrespect intended.

I really just wanted to put in some rake to keep this Ironman-thing going (yeah, thats pretty silly) and headed over to betfair afterwards (yeah, thats even more silly (or sillier?)...). But I have some ego stuff going there which is pretty funny sometimes and I'm somehow not able to play multiple tables/softwares at a time (at least not against good ops)

32min game. Got it in 88 < AK about 28min mark and lost, went down to 70 chips and came back to win!!!

I've come back from 20 and 70 chips in the last 2 days Ive played poker. I've learnt my lesson to never give up now. Can't take another game. Shaking from the adrenaline

the badbeater posts. His style is fantastic against fish, but you basically have to be a bumhunter (nttawwt) to have him on your auto-avoid list. As spamz notes, success over a large sample of mostly fish does not necessarily imply success over a large sample of You. His style is textbook for success against fish and failure against regs, which probably means that his "o no one is sitting me" fits are pretty rational.
