But one thing i noticed about us americans is in general they seem to strongly believe in a direct correlation between how loud you are and how much fun you have.
What don't you agree with? Americans being more "stupid" on average? I haven't noticed that from experience, however, but statistics on literacy is pretty convincing if you compare it to other developed countries. This has to do with the education system, and anyway I don't mean stupidity merely, I meant understanding of the greater world. Europeans, for instance, will be more aware of the world beyond their own country, whereas Americans, firstly being fairly alone aside from Canada/Mexico, are more likely to never have to leave the country, as they have everything they need within their country, they have access to most things there.
A counter example in Asia for instance, if you do business or want to get a good education, you pretty much have to travel within Asia if not around the world, and on average, the middle class+ people from these countries have, imo, a better geographical understanding than others. Japanese culture is a bit more insular though, from anecdotes, but again, this is not from experience, but I think that is likely a fair assessment.
I don't believe in relying on statistics and stereotypes in everyday situations anyway. Racial profiling, for instance, may be useful for certain things, but on a personal level, there's no need to know that on average X Y Z race is more likely to be from the lower class, or be less educated in certain sectors than A B C races, and so on.

are you chinese-chinese or chinese-australian or something? just curious - i remember having a hard time placing your accent in your vids.
Australian-Chinese. Born Hong Kong, fled to Australia because British Rule returned to Chinese. Well not really, my parents got the passport for us in case it became an issue, but it was fine. Helps me move around too, if I want to go on holidays or to study as I am doing now.
