There are certainly plenty of winning turbo regs out there at every level.

There is less overall profit potential in these than Spins I believe. But that is just a macro fact. For example, there is more money in NFL than NHL, but that doesn't mean nobody should play NHL or that for specific young athletes they shouldn't approach NHL.

I'm pretty confident if you play 10-20 hours of each per week for a month and you go with the format you prefer to play that you're going to make more money in that format on average in the longer term. IE, they're both profitable for good players that put in the hours. If the decision ends up being close in enjoyment/tolerance of the grind, I'd probably err on the side of Spins personally.

I am about to start playing poker a little more seriously after cca 5 years and since I was playing only HU hypers then my question is, is this format stil good to make side income at least?

I was playing semi regularly up to $30 hypers on Stars and back then you couldn't play without getting to a division on $30s and certainly not without Sharkystrator even on $15s.

Now I see the lobbies full of similar players as then but as I can see it seems that even on $7s there seem to be a a lot of same players in the lobbies. So here are a couple of my questions:

1.) What's the lowest limit where divisions take place and how many games/h you can get playing $7/15s 2-tabling?

2.) Given there isn't any real rakeback on Stars now, what's the best alternative for playing HU hypers?

I've been frustrated with most of the apps over the years, they seem to get worse over time somehow (skype, AIM, MSN).

There are still some people around. Remember Luis from the MSN chat, was in like the $10s at the time? He's a HS crusher now. Alex (h2) played HS for many years, I think he does a lot of PLO now. xSCWx plays a ton of HS live PLO and does really well. Mers is in finance last like 7ish years.

I opened up an escape room company 6 years ago, so that's my primary focus for the last 6 years. If you remember Qihu, he did the same thing around 4 years ago and also got into Archery Tag and a barcade type place too.

I've gotten married recently and we have toddler running about. Careerwise I went back to uni when I quit poker. I ended up with a master degree in pure mathematics, and now I have a full stipend for a PhD in cryptography. Halfway through my PhD right now. Also pursuing a master degree in educative sciences to maybe teach later, idk. I got some spare time and I'm at university while working so may as well pick up some extra skills.

COVID has been brutal for location based entertainment. I'm not particularly optimistic, but we'll see. One of our two stores reopened today for the first time in 3 months.

I would never describe myself like that, but yeah, I do love learning new stuff. Not sure what to do after my PhD yet either. I've always had an interest in the financial market as well (an option for a master degree was actuarial engineering too but I stuck with hardcore math ). Maybe I am a professional learner! Also started to do some private tutoring, again learning-related hah.

I'm back in Belgium btw. The UK adventure was nice and no regrets, but it did make me realise I was more of a homebody than I would have liked to admit at that point. Hope things are doing better for your business soon. Stuff around here seems to have normalised for the most part. Just mass events are still prohibitted, and measures in place like masks and social distance, but there's not a lot you can't do yet.

Sorry just a bit of a wine - Dear god, I am in the midst of the worst cold streak I have ever experienced: 1 win in 27 games with a drop in 4500 ev in 1 hour!

I just cannot hit a flop and none of my bluffs are getting through. When I do make a hand, the odd time, I get wholloped - flush beat by higher flush, straight by better straight, pairs by higher kicker and when I jam I end up with lower kickers. It is extremely frustrating to watch my CEV just tank.

roi adjusted should be a standard statistic in pokertracker i believe. if not the formula is: roi= {[(cEV/N+500)/1000*2*(BI-R)]-BI}/BI
50 chips per game is very high, but it depends alot on the stakes you play. i would say it is somewhat the upper limit if you mostly play against recreationals.

as far as programs go, sharkystrator is necessary if you want to get into a seating list for empty lobbies, but from 15$ stakes onwards this privilige must be earned by battling your way in. apart from that, not much more allowed than a hud
