Would you please clear something up for me? I've been profitable at HUSNGs for over four years now, starting at $5 and worked my way up to $25s. The only reason I havent gone to $50s and higher is because all I ever see at those stakes are sharks/regs. And I keep see thread after thread of more pros calling themselves regs playing these level Sngs, and they really do have the stats to back it up. But how how exactly are so many regs at these games when I never seem to find any fish being the first to sit? In fact, most of the time when I rail these matches, I will scope both players and they are both winners. It just seems like it always comes down to two regs basically measuring egos. What percentage of the players at the higher stakes matches are truly -ROI? It seems so unrealistic for me to find hardly any at all. It seems like in this form of poker, it is unquestionable that the majority who play are regs, and that there must be a very small group of whales who continue to donate to this population. I should mention that it has always been the smaller sites that appeal to me(Cake, Bodog, Merge). In fact, I've only played on Stars and Tilt combined about 2 weeks. But I figure maybe things are different on those 2 sites because of the much bigger population. I've always avoided those sites mainly because I just hate their softwares. But now that I really want to move up in limits I feel like it would have to be on those sites. The high level BIs on the smaller sites are just DEAD. I'm asking all of this because I am seriously considering leaving the U.S. because we are about to have no options left online. I eventually want to play at levels where I can truly do this for a living. Is being a pro solely at HUSNGs basically a pipe dream at this point? Would I have to try specializing in something else?
