Well my mom had pretty much become accustomed to it already through my brother. But i did endure the endless "Melanie, it's GAMBLING" when i'd come home and play. She couldnt really do much about it because I was playing mostly at college. She's supportive of it but she still views it as a pretty bad lifestyle. I must agree with her on some counts of that. She agrees no 23 y/o girls are making money like this but she thinks it's at a big cost to my happiness. I mean, I do say "i hate my life" like 20x a day.

3) I am already very worried. I'm not sure how long I'll be doing this for. At the moment I'm pretty enamored with the mental stimulation/attention/ money/ glamour of traveling to all these places in europe and having 0 life responsibilities. But, while poker is for sure a passion, I miss my other passions. And poker is very grueling and stressful. It also takes up my entire life. I haven't sung in a year since I've been playing full time and I do feel really unfulfilled in that sense. Poker may very well prove to lead to a lot of professional pursuits/ opportunities that i wouldn't have had otherwise and may be a lifelong involvement for me, but I also hope that I'll have the time and motivation still to see some of my other talents through to fruition.

Not the biggest fan of asian men although i had a huge crush on this guy in my dorm named Eddie Shin. He was a korean pop star who came to college at nyu (real) and played in our 25c/50c game that i illegally pioneered in the dorm common room. He raped too. I was really obsessed with his recklessness in the game and always thought he was super hot. Other than that tho havent been overly attracted to asian men.

I wanted and was in contention for sponsorship for a while since traveling live this year (theres not too many young girls traveling the circuit with scores online and live) and was approached after cashing the 10k hu at wsop, and the offer from tilt was not something i could turn down.

Mostly though I try to be nice/courteous at the table because berating people does nothing for the game. If i'm angry at a super douchebag good player I can usually think of something more than piercingly fitting for the situation. Dont have any like go-to needles.

Sometimes i like to look at the board after a suckout and say something like, look...I made a straight! or Oh my, four of a kind.

unfortunately I wont be at borgata. I think i'm grinding wcoop in manhattan/ going to the us open before wsope/ept but might just stay in europe after partouche. We can get a milkshake at napt if you want. We can arrange a milkshake party if you would like.

I have a bunch more subtle things i could say like "if you're paying, i'm drinking" but they all serve the same underlying purpose. Cute.

Ok I would give you a 6 but am going to give you a 6.5 for the popsicle sticks. You also could get as high as an 8 theoretically because you have really nice arms and I like the stance, but you would have to let me style your hair and possibly your facial hair.

Probably the guy from the uspc who I wrote about before (greedy and white). Hes not like a "real poker player' tho. Tbh i think most of the people I meet are pretty cool (although i am for sure aware people are probably nicer to me than to the average guy). I do think one of the online kids traveling the circuit is a HUGE ******* and has been a specific prick to me but I can't say here because I'll have a bunch of whiny kids coming to his defense here and don't want to deal with that.

At ept san remo I was playing a 1k side event 1/2 nlh 1/2 plo. The way late reg works in ept sides is you sit down at a stack that has been blinded off. I come to a table with like 5 dead stacks and this 25 y/o italian guy informs me that they are just "having the dealer deal really fast and taking turns chopping the blinds" b/c of the dead stacks. I'm like, this is collusion. He's like, "no, no, we're all friends" and points to his 4 "friends" at the table. Im like jesus. Even more collusion! And he goes "no no, don't worry, the DEALER said it was OK" LOL! So now im like wtf is this dealer doing dealing ept (he's also dealing the wrong game atm) and wtf should i do here, and then 3 people sit down and hes like oh ok now we're just gonna play normally. So we continue to talk about the fact that this is collusion and lil baller goes "i'll bet you any amount of money that it's not collusion." So wanting to bet like 100k but knowing I cant collect I offer to bet him 1k euro and he snap shakes my hand then i point to everyone at the table and I'm like you guys are witnesses....this guy just bet me 1k euro....so at break we go to Neil, the TD, ask him policy etc/ for an official ruling. He of course snap says it's collusion, they get an italian translator over who begins vehemently arguing with the guy, end result, collusion obv, neil says "you owe her 1k." So then he's like, "Are you really going to make me pay?" And I say yes. And he goes, "That's terrible of you.I wouldn't have made you pay if you won" and im like lol then you are an idiot, am i really getting freerolled here. Then he proceeds to offer me half his tourney life instead of the 1k. And im like....CLEARLY, that is useless.

So then he goes on more things about how he CAN afford it (cites betting 3k on flop colors and other things to illustrate his financial lackadaisical-ness) but doesnt want to pay me because I "dont need the money because i'm a professional poker player" and then changes his story and now says he was just JOKING about the bet and how when he got moved tables he TOLD MY FRIEND (aguskb) that he was joking (which he didnt, he told aaron about the bet and aaron was like lol you owe her 1k). So now I'm pissed because he thinks he can get away with this variety of bull**** cuz im a girl and cant kick his ass, i get some of my guy friends to try to reason with him, he basically says that alex kravchenko and "other stars pros" would agree with him and he's not paying. lol.

So i'm like alright i give up lesson learned get shaun deeb to hold the money for us next time. Then on dinner break he follows me up to the buffet on top of the casino and wants to sit and chat. He then gives me this whole soliloquy on life as a poker player and why he thinks it will destroy me and im like mmk but are you paying me. He says he will not give me the 1k but he WILL accompany me to the streets of san remo to DISTRIBUTE IT AMONG HOMELESS GUYS. I'm sitting there with my mouth agape and his friend comes over to chime in that "also, in italy, when you shake hands with a woman, it means nothing." He leaves and tells me to think over his proposition. A few days later he facebook requests me and sends me a message telling me to "enjoy life."

So he for sure is the most infuriating person i've met in poker.
