HU SnG 500$ - iPoker

Villain is a good winning regular. He knows that I am also a winning regular at these stakes.

My view of him is that he is a bit to straigt-forward. We have only been playing a handful of mathces against eachother in the past, but he does not strike me as someone who is putting me in to many "tough spots".

He pre-flop aggression is also on the more tight end of the spectrum.

5 min. before the actual hand occured I raised to 80 at 20/40 blinds with AKo. Villain called me with J6o from BB.

Flop was: KQ6 ttw
Villain check-called my c-bet

Turn: Kx Pot: 290'ish
Villain checked
I bet 200
Villain called

River: Tx Pot: 700
Villain checked
I shoved 600
Villain called

I actually did not expected him to make that kind of call against me as I havn't been to out of line against him. Nevertheless he must percieve me as someone capable of pulling of aggressive bluff barrels which maybe is relevant for the actual hand below.

On the river in the actual hand I am trying to rep some sort of very thin SD value hand. 8x, small PP, or A high that is choosing to turn itself into a bluff. Therefore I go for the "polarized" bet-size

When villain CR me I pretty much hate my life....

The actual hand:
I got 1900
Villain got 1100

Blinds 20/40
I raise to 80 with T7
Villain calls from BB

Flop: T99 Pot: 160
Villain check
I check

Turn: 8
Villan bets 90
I call

River: 6 Pot: 340
Villain checks
I bet 299
Villain CR til 740 and leave himself with 160 left in he's stack

I hate my life... and call/fold???

+ Does anyone think that a river check back by me is preferable?

no way you're checking that river back imo, from your reads I'm urging towards a puke fold here. If he percieves you al polarised surely that would make him flat the 8,9 or 10's in his range, and I can't imagine villain has 0 showdown value and wouldn't lead river given his turn lead.

Disclaimer:low stakes player asking ignorant question:

If we only need 25% in this spot to turn a profit isn't Villains represented range on the river of a backdoor flush or 9x too thin against our hand strength?

We're beating 9x unless he got a boat...

btw, I'm not folding , if he's a reg there are some good chances he's could bluff sometimes on this high scary board...
