[HU SNG] 3bet pot turn decision [HU SNG] 3bet pot turn decision

Hi 2+2,

Vilain is a fish calling station, call against 3bet pretty wide (i saw a showdown where he called T7o in HJ against a 3bet in small blinde). Fold to cbet 27%. Open his small blinde during the HU 47% of the time. And quite agressive postflop. I opted for the check raise but i think now c/c was better on the turn given his sizing ? What do you think about this hand ?

teejo451 raises 240, Hero raises 790, teejo451 calls 630

River: [Ac] (17280, 2 players, 1 all-in)

Total Pot : 17280
teejo451 shows [Jh] [Qc] (a pair of Queens.)
Hero shows [8s] [4s] (high card Ace.)

teejo451 wins 17040 from main pot

ty for your answer
(ps : it's the last step of a winner takes all sng, 1000€ for the first, 0€ for the second, so do you think that it can influence a player in general and that he can play scary even in HU?).

If he calls wide vs 3bets, why would you 3bet this hand?

Good point.

It's the second time that i 3bet in the match and i showed a pretty good hand the first time, i think that i have a good image but i'm agree with you. We can also call this hand.

Don like the 3bet pre. But as played c/jam looks fine. If he's floating the flop w JQ he would also float with 45 89 T8 any king high JT etc.

Completely agree with you on the preflop, bad 3bet.

Cool ok, i hesitate and i think now that i should check call the turn because he's given us a good price to see a river and i have the impression that when he bets 1/4 pot (or little more) he is a lot of time in protection, want to have a cheap showdown, and that we don't have a lot of fold equity. I think that he will bet a little larger with his float to be sure that we don't play back/for not induce. It's a recreationnal player. But we have 8 high and absolutely 0 showdown value if he decides to not continuing his bluffs on the river.

(Sorry for my bad english)

You picked the worst opponent to 3bet bluff. Opening 47%, never folding. 27% folding to cbet. It can't be worse than that. VS 47% open raising you can literally fold your way to victory.
Anyway bet bigger on flop.
I am betting this turn. We picked additional equity and have FE + no showdown
