HU bb/100 by stack depth HU bb/100 by stack depth

I play 6 max hypers, when i get hu I'm winning more at almost every depth from the bb than from the sb - which seems totally counter intuitive.

Stack eff. SB BB
15-20 5 6
11-15 5 13
7-11 6 9
3-7 10 -1

Is there any obvious reason this can happen, or do I likely suck from sb?

are those actual numbers or EV numbers?

If SB plays only push/fold (without limping), then SB will be losing in the long run whenever the stacks are bigger than 8 bb. That's because SB is OOP preflop.

If most of your 6-man hyper opponents are still uneducated about optimal HU short stack play and don't limp or minraise often enough, then they donate a few bb/100 to you when you're in the BB.

Thanks for the response -
7-11 bb I'm seeing about 40% jam freq, 15% Limp, 15% raise.
11-15 bb 25% Jam, 20% Limp, 25% raise.
Fish limp more than regs, with regs jamming more - but neither are using an overly shove heavy strat.
No doubt the player in these games - myself included - aren't much good at HU, but it's just off I do better when I commit 1.1 bb ATc oop, than when I commit .6 bb IP.
Any hints at filter I can run to look at where my sb game can be improved?

It's more about your SB strategy.. how are you playing in the 15-20bb region?

An optimal strategy would involve a lot of limping, almost no shoving and a small to medium mr range. Of course, you're probably facing a population which overfold to minraises which makes minraising a lof of weakish hands better.

I'd for sure suck at 15-20 and worse deeper, BUT by the time we get HU the stacks are only greater than 15bb eff 6% of the time.

11-15 23% 5bb/100 ev sb
7-11 40% 7bb/100 ev sb
3-7 26% 11bb/100 ev sb

these depths make up about 90% of all HU hands in my 6 max hyper sample of 46k HU hands.

11-15 sb is particularly dissapointing, I'm seeing the population respond to sb action at this depth in the following ways:
Call jams just very marginally tighter than nash, but not exploitably so
F v minraise 42%
3b v minraise 27%
Raise over limp 35%
Fold v stab after checking preflop 58%
I VPIP 87% sb in my db, as it seems neither Limp or min raise are being targeted too hard by villains.
I gotta be leaking post at this depth in order to only have this w/r right?
