How to you deal with mental fatigue? How to you deal with mental fatigue?

Short term everything that is said and just saying to yourself don't be a wining pussy; countless people in this world break their back for just a slice of bread a day.
Short term breaks and learning when breaks will not help so you quit instead.

Long term; experience and getting raped by everything that could possible break you. After having experienced that and still being alive, you will care way less.

Long term; studying so you eventually reach the point where you almost always know and can prove your play was good/best and so you reach the point that you can slap yourself for bad play OR can slap yourself for not being a winer as you did the correct thing.

Long term; realizing you will defenitely be a ****** when you take as reference the best player in the world. This said, start to realize there are countless subjects and skills still to be developped where you are for sure clueless about these even exist besides all the subjects and skills you already have planned to develop where you know there is room for improvement.

I have to agree with you on sleep though. You should sleep a good 12-14 hours per day. Ideally, you should sleep during the day since there are fewer distractions at night. This also makes it hard to have a social life, which is definitely a plus if you wanna be a grinder.

Snacks are indeed important. Chocolate and various fruit flavored candy works best. Water is for showering, which you should do about once a week (poker playing makes you sweaty).

If you have a laptop, you should lie/sit in the bed with it on your lap while playing for maximal relaxation. If you don't, that's ok; just move the bed to your desk.

Play until you're even or until the next episode of the vampire diaries comes out. Piss in a bottle and make sure you have enough snacks to get you through a downswing.

The most important thing is to be angry at all times. Rage is the source of your power. Don't overdo it though, you don't want to go out and kill somebody in a fit of rage and not be clear minded enough to cover your tracks.
Please get lost.

working out in the morning will actually increase your energy levels throughout the day and improve your sleep at night

Ain't it obvious?
Hanging out with friends, partying, whiskey, sex...repeat infinite.
Be happy with your life and you'll stay emotionally unattached for longer sessions.

Green tea with a high dose of caffeine - gyokuro for example. See Brian Townsend well, he uses that too.

+1. Once you get addicted to it, you won't be able to function w/o it. I tend to drink ~1-1.5 liter of Coca Cola every day until 8pm, after that I don't take caffeine or any other stimulant so I can actually fall asleep later. Results: after 9pm or so I'm so mind****ed that I can't play anything (on each stake level I either b/e or lose in games after 9pm), but yet I can't fall asleep until 2-3am, so I end up going out, watching TV, degening on 2p2 or doing something that wastes even more $, and obv I'm dead in the morning even if I didn't drink alcohol

For me the core effect of caffeine was just a rise of adrenaline level. And such I always got more energy and become more aware.

For me each time (when I kept drinking coffee/red bull) I reached always a time nothing happened as consequence of the intake.
From that moment off my level of attention and energy became even worse then before I started drinking coffee.

Nowdays, I rarely drink coffee/red bull for a boost. A short break/nap and water works way better.

Train every night to get a healthier brain. Also Red Bull, a lot.

And for those who get to tolerant on caffeine there is a solution.... training your body to get a lower tolerance!

But it has happened that I play some FL H.O.R.S.E. on marijuana but I spew around to much for NL :P

they say a small dose of LSD, like half a blotter, helps you focus on the game w/o hallucinations and other ****. I haven't tested it tho, don't know where to get LSD

Would love to see a coaching session where the coach is tripping (a webcam in the corner showing the coachs face)

Good advice ITT. This is probably my biggest problem. I'm smart enough to stop playing when my brain is fried, which means my ROI is great, but my volume is terrible.

After like 3 husngs I just feel "spent." Partly because I don't find poker relaxing, it's very draining on my nervous system. I remember reading an article that online poker helps people relax, but that must be the fish. For me, I feel the same after playing an hour of poker as I do after taking an hour-long final exam.

I feel mental fatigue incoming so I jerk off vigorously.

Rinse and repeat tree fiddy times. You never quite finish that 4th time and you just fall asleep from trying. I got this from a well oiled german machine.
