For those who asked about the Pettinho 2k thing, I talked to him about it and found out this:


The person who talked to me on MSN to setup the transfer was Robert or one of robert's friends, and had the shown name as Petter but a diff. MSN name and diff, and spoke much much differently than the person I have been talking to.

Anyways, Pettinho said he never spoke to me before adding me on Facebook and then asking to call me, and he says this previous transfer was the same thing, Robert offered to sell him $$$ for a bank transfer and he was under the impression the account was Roberts.


so that's what I got from it, he again says if it goes to court he will 100% go to court and is willing to give a police statement, but just wanted his name cleared as he feels he has a fairly respectable name in the poker communities he plays in and doesn't want himself mixed up with robert's name

Im not concerned about my own personal info, but rather how much im allowed to post about the scammer in question. Theres much info availible on him about usernames, previous scamming methods, details about his family, place of residence, photos etcetera. Ive read the rules you reffered to and they seem open to interpretation - but i dont want to write a wall of text, just to get it removed

You are allowed to post scamming methods and usernames as far as I am concerned, but I am going to say no to personal info and place of residence, and especially details about specific members of his family.

You can say something like "his father is very wealthy" or "his mother died when he was young and he's never really recovered" but if you say something like "his dad lives xxx" that is going to cross the line.

So for now, you can post about past scams in order to alert users and potentially save a future victim, you can also post relevant information to this particular story as long as it is within reason. If you are unclear, please PM me first before posting otherwise you would risk deletion.

Also keep in mind if someone above my head has a problem with something it's going to likely be deleted/edited, so I am NOT the final say in anything that goes on around here.

Read this whole thread, Primo I feel for you, hope everything gets resolved in some way, if it doesn't Robert will eventually scam the wrong person and deal with the consequences.. And seriously if there is a heaven you're first in line..

My question is, how much money was this guy rolling with? Plane/Train tickets, hotel, food, gambling money, etc... Seems like he had enough on his person to just pay you back the bulk of it.. Did you ever just ask him for all the money he was laying down playing roulette/poker at the casinos? And when he was "lending" you money, did you ever just say "okay, I'll deduct this 3K from the total"

the amounts he leant me were so small, or else absolutely I would have, the most he 'lent' me was 5,000 Kronor, which is 500 euro, and that was only 1 time I believe, and he went to the bank and got out 25k kronor once (2.5k euro) which is what he used for the hotels and stuff, but when he had this money at the start was when I expected it to be just 3 days for the bank transfer so it wasn't a huge deal, the big spot I missed however was when he had 60k kronor (6k euro) on him from the casino before he blew it all and I didn't take it from him and walk away ;(

Well, it sucks that your impression of Sweden must be pretty terribad right now. We're not alll like that, I promise. If you ever come here again, hook up with me and I'll show you some of the better sides of Sweden .

As mentioned in some earlier post - the swedish poker forum is going nuts over him (he's scammed several people through that one as well) so things are looking quite grim for him.

wow, i just read all of this after having taken a little vacation from the poker community. man, i really feel for you. that's a very sick story.

if it were me - even though i'm pretty sure I wouldn't have let it come this far -, i would seriously consider paying someone to have this guy raped by a gang of somalians like someone proposed, or have his fingers cut off like robert suggested himself. just be careful to have the finger sent to your first and not pay up front

seriously, that's a terrible story and i hope this guy gets what he deserves.

just wanna add that primo is a great poker player, a generous coach, and a genuinely nice dude - i was and am sorry to hear about this, and i hope somehow it works out

You have a damn lot of self control for not beating the crap out of him in the hotel when you found out he stole the money from your Stars account. I wouldn't have let him leave until I got it back.

that is truly horrible, like I can't imagine a sum more than 10x what I lost to someone who has no way to generate real income, like for me it @!)+$@!d up my current situation, but I have the ability to make so much more, not this woman, her life is like destroyed, her husbands retirement, etc. ;(;(

Reading the OP I kept feeling that I'm getting levelled. I mean I think I am quite gullible and naive, and in my youth one of my best friends had stolen quite a bit from me (he took a spare set of keys and things started dissapearing from my home). I know its difficult to think that someone that you like is a hustler, but when the guy sent an email pretending to be you to scam somenone else I don't understand how you could belive that he had a shred of honesty in him? I mean you caught him scamming and using you. I'm a bit saddened too that the villain is Scandinavian, as I think we are generally quite honest.

Anyway great story, and I really feel for you. If its all true then I think your probably a very good person for trusting people like that. Its shame that people like that can be taken advantage of

I hope this mistake leads you to the root of the problem and gives you an opportunity to fix it. It is highly unlikely that this series of events would randmonly happen to someone, unless there was some personality 'flaw' that would eventually breakdown and let something of this magnitude occur. I would ask myself something along these lines:


Do I get taken advantage of often?
Do I not like hurting other people's feelings?
Do I generally say yes when I really want to say no?
Do I avoid confrontation?
Am I insecure?
Am I assertive?

Obviously all these questions are specific to this case, but I think its vitally important that you apply the questions to the way you handle everyday situations. I think its extremely important to know your rights as an individual. I'm all for being a nice guy, but there is a line that we all know when it is crossed that seems to be the issue. The sensitivity to how far someone can push their limits is what needs to be examined.
