Wow, just wow. Obviously this is your story and you tell us the details you feel comfortable sharing to us but it really seems like you've left out a few things. There is just no way you can be so nonchalant about him sending the fake e-mail on your account or after him stealing your money from PS, it makes no sense for you not to make a HUGE deal out of it constantly when talking to him. It's also incredible how you just keep sending him money when there's (apparently) no incentive to do so.

It's a shame that what you did hurt your g/f (if I understood correctly she left France) but I guess that's something you have to live with. To me the money wouldn't mean anything compared to this.

In the end though, money-wise you lost almost nothing (30k will have no significance in the long run of your life) so I guess that's something positive you can take out of this. Just be sure to sue Robert if you can afford it, not in hopes of getting your money back but as a favor to others. There's a good chance he'll end his life prematurely (he's a compulsive gambler/psychopath and it's unlikely he'll get better even with treatment as his hole seems pretty deep) so I wish you'd manage to end all contact with him when this is over so you wouldn't have to hear about it.

Hey guys, for all who read my story I just wanted to update that I just talked to Pettinho on the phone, and the situation with him is Robert promised him the money on Pokerstars (saying my account was his) in return for Pettinho to send to his bank. Pettinho did this because Robert was giving him $1000 extra, like he gets $9,000 in stars and sends $7,500 or $8,000 in the bank.

Anyways he sent the money in the bank and the transfer got reversed on stars (his 4k cashed out) so he effectively lost $4,000 too and was also 'scammed', even though Robert obviously didn't expect the money to get reversed like that... so he wanted his name cleared so people don't think he was involved with this whole thing and with Robert, so I figured I would make a post.

also... LOL @ Robert saying it wasn't him ;(, GOD I hope the Swedish Police are competent enough to take this case to court, cause in a decent legal system, he should obv be behind bars for at least a little bit =/

One person claims he has bean scammed by this pokerplayer for 5 number euro amounts by him loaning money without paying back. The victim loaned him small amounts at first and sais the swede showed him screen shots on his bank reciept with transactions that he later had canceled.
The loans got bigger and eventually the victim had loaned the swede all his money. By excuses and threats about not paying back the swede had the victim loaning him more and more until nothing was left. Witnesses claims the swede is a socially skilled person who is very good at manipulating his victims into loaning him more and more money.

The swede is a known person who has played several EPT-tournaments.

umm first of all, you are really kind of a guy i can see that, so i feel for you.. in the same time im like gosh, how could he get to you like that since im really sceptic about people n stuff.. but anyway, im just adding some things and thoughts which after reading ur whole post and replies left floating in my mind...

Useally afaik if u take some **** like this to police or something, make it a case, it kinda goes on it own weight having couple waypoints where u need to pick the right paths, but what i mean is i think in any point like calling the police or anything would had been any bad for ur case, might not had done any good but at least wouldnt had hurted it. Im not really a leagal expert and i might really be wrong,(ur prolly doing the right thing now by getting advices n stuff) but id take the case to police or something, sue him, and see how that plays out..

Funny thing just is that all this time, he keeps you as hes "pray" by for example throwing a hundred or 2 to keep you with him, keep you trusting him n stuff like that to get for a bigger goals... probably the point when u were in train and he lost hes mind about the swed forum post wasnt because of hes reputation or ****, i think it was because he was scared that he loses future income, meaning stealing ur account/broll.

Ah and btw, how do you know that pettinho aint in this also, and they just planned him to tell you this or something to get hes name cleared, after all hes the one whose name can still be cleared, but the conartist is kinda busted--
it doesnt really matter in the big picture, since fact is that u lost the money, but what i mean is i wouldnt trust anything anymore what comes from their direction.... It really wasn't like I was just going through casinos all over europe, I wanted to be back with my gf more than anything but I was waiting the one week for the bank deal to get 'cleared up' in sweden, and Robert happened to be a big degen and went ot the casino every night in sweden.


I absolutely should have called the police wayyy sooner, and now that I really am giving up hope on Robert's father, I will be contacting the US Embassy in Stockholm and working with whatever police station there seems most reasonable at their suggestion.


and I don't know about Pettinho honestly, but I know for a fact he has $4k less than what I received, and just that he sounded sincere on the phone, but I have no proof really to clear his name and also no proof to condemn him.
