How to adjust VS a tight opponent at 9bb and lower How to adjust VS a tight opponent at 9bb and lower

Dont know how to put it right, but i find great difficulty to play vs a tight opponent at 9bb and lower. It just feels that when Villain does not play nash charts at this stakes and is tight, it just feels wrong to use NASH to shove or call.

Maybe i am totally wrong but please help me out with this!?!

Seeing how tight they are you almost dont want to call with TQ or TJ at 6bb since they will show up with Ax+. I keep losing when reaching 9bb minus, vs tight players.

Is above thoughts wrong and we shouldn't care for their range so much, or we should adjust strongly?

thank you

If opponent doesnt play nash than its wrong to play it, even if he plays, than you shouldnt just shove/fold under 9bb.
You can limp basically all hands you dont want to jam, no one says you have to only shove/fold under 9bb, and if you are going to only shove/fold, you should shove wider than nash.
As for calling, yeah, you call bit tighter but not ridic tight, like you cant fold QT, JT 6bb, even if he has A8o you have odds to call.

thank you for your repy.

So we Limp / Fold if he raises or shoves?

btw i was not thinking at any way to play Shove/Fold. Just understand if i have to tighten my Shoving range, and my calling range.

you want to tighten your calling range for sure, if he is shoving tight range, but no way you should tighten your shoving range, you want to exploit his tightness.
As for limping, it depends how wide he raises you, if he is tight I suppose he is not raising you much so you can limp even complete trash. obv you will limp/fold hand like 73o, with middling hands its hard to say where to draw a line. If he is not raising your limps, there is no point to limp traps, so just os your value hands. And if he is very agroo vs limps, just os all middling hands and limp traps and trash.

Definitely try not to shove mediocre hands if you don't have to. Taking advantage of passive players in the high blinds is a big deal for winrate. At 8BB, Holdem resources calculator thinks shoving 87s is -20 BB/100. Sure that's 30 BB/100 better than folding. But it's not a great proposition considering how often you bust when called. You could do better than that against many opponents by limp-stabbing, without the variance of shoving. Ofc if your opponent is very tough you can't pass up 30 BB/100 edges.
