I can't believe people will think this will make marginal regs better. They are marginal because they don't study at all and if they do they probably will misuse and misunderstand alot of concepts explained. So mostly what this book will do is confuse them more. Possibly a very very small percentage of players who never got their hands on study material will or can't pay for it will find this extremely usefull.

I was reading the part where you 'analyze' your HEM database. First thing that popped my mind was will you do a small video about that? Is there one already? ( i am not a HUSNG member yet).

I think using the word "worlds" kind of threw people a bit. It sounds fancy and more intelligent, but seems to have complicated things for many people.

Instead of "world" replace it with the word "fifth". Each "world" or "fifth" is just a 20% segment.

1st "fifth" (1/5) is the chance they are in the house
2nd and 3rd "fifth" ( so 2/5), is the chance they are in right pocket
4th and 5th "fifth" (2/5), is the chance they are in the left pocket

Hi everybody. I have a question,that worries me for a long time. If this question was discussed here already i m sorry and ask to show me the nesessary thread.
So, in all videos and in book Mers talk we must do a move with every hand,that have a maximum EV against our opponent. Is that means, if we have 22 in first hand of the game and our villain shoves AKo,we must call even if we know,that he is very bad player and we can beat him easily? I think its wrong, so the question is how should we change our decisions about,for example, range of our 3bet shove against weak player? If we have certain edge in this game, do we need to assume +EV decisions if the size of EV is very small and we have a time to realize our edge,because opponent has a giant leaks in play?

p.s. I learned reading russian with five and had russian in school so i might be completely off.

There are occasions where passing up on a +EV play does in fact maximize your hourly rate and expected growth, but those occasions are much more rare than a lot of beginning players realize, especially with the advent of the rematch button. I spend way more time correcting errors that come from not wanting to play for everything in an uncertain situation, than from errors like you describe, which are significantly more rare. Also, the single biggest factor on whether you should take a small edge is actually your bankroll - that decision is a lot different mathematically when you have 20BI rather than 200BI.

Just got around to reading this, about halfway through. My initial impressions are that this book will help good players more than bad players, as there's more for good players to get out of this and implement properly and bad players will just incorrectly use (or forget!) much of the theory, and the already-great players will lose the most as their edge will narrow.

This is certainly NOT going to kill husngs, tho I think Mers could have made life very difficult (esp. for ST regs.) if he really wanted to. Good on him not to spoon-feed but to plant seeds instead. Thanks for writing this and in the way that you wrote it.

Just skimmed it. Very impressive stuff. Enjoyed the random non-poker anecdotes as well

So are the games dead yet?
