Hi,

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 3.5 Tournament, 10/20 Blinds (2 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from http://flopturnriver.com

SB (t500)
Hero (BB) (t500)

Hero's M: 16.67

Preflop: Hero is BB with 10, 9
SB raises to t50, Hero calls t30

Flop: (t100) 6, 10, 5 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets t60, Hero calls t60

Turn: (t220) 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets t120, Hero calls t120

River: (t460) K (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets t160, Hero?

This is for me currently business as usual. calling down with a really good hand for a heads up and board develops not as the best and facing 2 barrels. what to do?

it's fine vs this small river size to call. read-less you can fold to shoves and stuff like 3/4 pot+ on river. rest of hand is well played.

Why not shove on the flop or on the turn?

Only better hands would call...

My thinking in this spot is that if you check shove the flop for example, he'll (mostly) only call if he has a better hand, as you said. So if one feels that the villain hasn't hit the board and is just cbeting hoping for a fold, you can shove and take the 160 in the pot. In my experience so far they most often fold. At $3.5 I find they can even call the shove with AK or 99 or 88. Especially if it's the first hand. Even if he is ahead at least you have outs. On this flop there are so many cards that will scare on the turn. You're not going to want to see a 7,8,9 or any over card after you call the c bet. Is this logic flawed?

geez you are crying

1 out 4 overcards hit the board and the preflop raiser bets it
how standard can it be

well played if you called river
