Yeah I saw that. What is the rake on the $60 hyper turbos on stars?

The rake is $1.26, or 2.1%. Its on the high end, in $200's, for example, rake is $3.34, or 1.67%.

Just some thoughts, Emillio ran very good in card distribution lately, and I wasn't on top of my game. But he is playing so much significantly better then he was when I first played him.

That being said, I would not speculate on who has the edge now. I still believe its me, but by a small amount. Not enough to beat the rake but enough to make him lose more.

For this challenge tho, numbers vise, I am in as good of a spot as ever. He shortened the gap by ~$370 today. But, considering the volume, I am in a better spot to take this down now, then I was at the start of today.

At the start of today we were at 512 games, and I was ~$1094 away from the break even line ($1260 @ 1000 games), so I needed to lose $2.24 per game ($1.26 to rake and $0.98 to emo) to lose the challenge.

Now we are at 820 games, and I am ~$519 away from that point. Which means I now need to lose $2.88 per game.

So in general, given the volume, I still did well today .

That being said, its closer then I would like it to be, and anything can happen. Tomorrow is gonna be an epic match. I have a good feeling about it.

Until that number starts going down you can't even speak of a comeback imo . Of course if it stays "low" variance (of the result) in the last few games can get ridiculous.

TID!

ye those calculations are pretty ridiculous on a 180 game sample you cant really think "in the long run", its a short term result, its poker, and anything can happen

Unfortunately - yes. When the gap was bigger I was hoping for it to get to a point where I would have an easy ride to the win for the last 200 games or so. You managed to slap me with those cooler quite nicely tho, and now who the **** knows which way it goes.

Anyways, we are starting the session now, gl. And have a fun sweat everyone that bet on either side.

Because it is based on red line it will change how people will normally play at this late stage

Like if Emo has a big gap to get back, he prob will have to try and play more postflop play (limping buttons/flatting more OOP)? Whereas BMF can just agg it up pre and have high 3-bet jam game

i see it the other way, i should be more aggresive in general lol
variance it up!!

herocalls, thin value bets and huge bluffs ftw
agree with more postflop, the more cards and streets, the more distribution variance

nt really, because lets say you are 20 games left and you are down 4 games in ev, lets say you min open A2o and you get jammed on 20bb deep and he is 3-bet jamming a ton rly you should be calling in a normal situation however it would not be great for you considering stipulations of red line bet /nostratinhu4rollz obv

you should prob think through all permutations of how play affects red line in short span of games if you wanna win this bet (need to maximise red line swings)

nah, you should prolly be flatting your draws down instead of raising if it's close, as an example

not saying you guys are wrong but there's still the impact of non showdown winnings on the red line. you are assuming villain will call and be a 50 50 or wtv in % but there are still those chips hero wins every time villain folds

@badmofo - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_cigarette - thank me later
