I have played a lot of HU SnG tourneys. About 10k, but I have never been able to build up my BR or start winning much money, I guess I am simply stupid. Yeah I am a winning player, but amount of money, I have won, is sooo little, in comparison with time I have spent playing, that I think I really should quit playing this game. But there is one thing that keep me back of doing it - it is that half (maybe even more) of tourneys I have lost were lost because of me being on tilt. I have tried many things to control myself, but I am not able to do that... It's so pitty. I can play normal game for a moth, doing bankroll managemen, plaing really calm, but there comes that one day when I lose all my BR because of sick tilt (climbing to higher limits, making super stupid moves, I think you know what I am talking about). Are there any suggestion of some kind of bitter tilt contrel for a guy like me? Maybe somekind of software? Thanks.
I have made a decission to start from the basics again. I will read 2+2 and these two books - Colin Moshmans ''HU NLHE - Expert Advice for Winning Heads-Up Poker Matches'' and Bill Chans, Jerrod Ankenmans ''The mathematics of poker''. Do you think thats a good start? Wont play poker until have read these two books. Which I should read first? Hope to make somekind of restart to my game and really start winning.
Thanks for advice.

If you are showing profit over 10k games, but feel that you have a serious problem with tilt and sticking to bankroll management, then it sounds like you primarily need to focus on analyzing the motivations behind your decisions. Those two books aren't going to solve that problem for you.

Write down a plan for where you want to be 2-3 months from now and how you're going to get there. Lay out bankroll management, what stakes you're going to start at, what kind of volume you can realistically pump out, an ROI you hope to achieve after X amount of games, and at how many buy-ins you'll move up to the next higher stake. Then implement your plan and stick to it. After 2-3 months, compare your actual results to your planned results. Be honest with yourself and think of what you did poorly, what you did well, and then rinse and repeat. Make another 3-6 month plan with your previous mistakes in mind.

Set a decent volume goal for each day you'll be playing and once you hit that goal, stop playing for the day and review your games. Identify bad moves, good moves, etc. Post hands to this forum. Get a HUSNG membership and watch videos.

During your sessions take breaks. This was the most significant thing I ever did for myself in regards to controlling tilt and emotional state. Play for one hour, take a 10-15 minute break away from your computer (get some fresh air, take a short walk, etc.), then play another hour.

Those two books you mentioned are good, but it sounds like you're having issues more with meta aspects than with game theory. I personally haven't read The Mental Game of Poker yet (it's literally in a UPS van on the way to me right now) but I've heard great things about it. That might be more applicable to the issues you're having. I would suggest reading Moshmans book and Expert Heads Up No Limit Hold'em by Will Tipton rather than The Mathematics of Poker (leave that for last). I've been reading Tiptons book lately and it's one of the best poker books I've ever read.

EDIT: Mersenneary Heads Up Poker Ebook is excellent as well, if you haven't read it yet.

I have those two books you mentioned and i have to say that Collin Moshman is the sh*t!. I have read it 2 times and still read it in the subway or when i have nothing better to do. I think its must have for HU players. The second book, Math of Poker, didnt really help me a lot. Many examples are about poker stud (or some weird game where u have 5 hole cards) so i havnt finished reading it.

However. If you have tilt problem i suggest Tommy Angelo. He wrote a book called Elements of Poker, which is nice. But he made an even better 8 Part Video "The Eightfold Path to Enlightment" featuring many thoughts of his book. I think this Video Series will help you.
