ROI of 10% means you're up 10 buyins every 100 games, meaning you went 55-45 (55% winrate). so basically ROI = (winrate - 50%)*2

So ROI does not take rake into account?

Since this is the first entry on Google when searching "ROI to winrate", I thought it would be appropriate to have the correct answer ITT.

Formulas:
(Buyin w. rake)*(1+ROI) / Prizepool = Winrate
(Prizepool*Winrate - Buyin w. Rake) / Buyin w. Rake = ROI

Sample calculations for $100 hypers on PokerStars:
($100)*(1+0.03) / $196.24 = 0.525% Winrate
($196.24*0.52 - $100) / $100 = 2.05% ROI

modnote: please move to HUSNG forum if possible, thank you.

this might be obvious, but roi is a linear function of winrate. for example, in a $100+5 husng game, winrate of 52.5% (=105/200) corresponds to 0% roi (b/e without rakeback), and from there roi increases by about 1.9% per 1% winrate.

for stars $100 hypers, the numbers are a bit nastier but we can still get the answer. $100 breaks down to $98.12 + $1.88, so b/e is about 50.96%, or 51% winrate. after that, roi increases by about 2% for 1% winrate. for example, 52% winrate is about 2% roi, and 53% winrate is about 4% roi, etc.

Hope nobody minds the bump, I spent over an hour scouring the darkest regions of the internet to find this info (couldn't figure out a good search phrase for google).

To add value, here's a spreadsheet for the low buy-ins on Pstars:

EDIT: That hosting site is BS, will update when I repost to better one
