He isnt calling with air out of position to C/R the turn or river.

River c-raises are almost never bluffs at this level. It's a fold.

I guess it's a fold. Pretty funky line though... he can't really expect you to bet at this river after your turn check. It would make more sense for him to lead this river with a hand that beats you.

Is he check raising anything you beat?

Pretty high chance he could be bluffing the ace, but it's more likely he actually has the ace.

i dont think its a good idea to call in this spot just because villain isnt repping much. villains on this limit do take weird lines with their hands often enough, if youre always calling here you will learn that you cant assume villain is playing reasonable.
Id often check behind on that flop. River is a fold imo.

fwiw he had quad aces haha.. i see what your saying tho, his range should be pretty damn small in this spot. i guess its true tho that at these stakes c/r on the river are almost never bluffs. the showdowns ive had when they occurred are usually cooler situations, ie flush vs. lower flush
