This is a hand from a $10 turbo husng that I played on Ignition yesterday. I want to know if this was played too aggressively and I lost more than I needed to, or if you would have done the same thing.

Up to this point the villain had been pretty loose and passive post flop, and this was the first donk bet that they had made in the match. It seemed like they over valued hands too much post flop, and that gave me the read that my hand had a lot of equity vs their perceived range, as well as could still extract value on the turn or river if I hit a club, ten, or a king. After raising the donk bet on the flop, and picking up additional outs on the turn, the shove seemed standard to me.

I appreciate the help with this and look forward to hearing whatever opinions you might have.

I would have done the same thing with a different read on the opponent.

Loose/passive opponents who overvalue hands are better taken advantage with value bets.

You lose perceived fold equity against a Loose/passive/call station opponent and I like your play more vs. an opponent who isn't as sticky (to maximize fold equity).

Your shove is good under different circumstances. Your hand definitely has a lot of equity, but the value of fold equity varies against differing styles.

All of this with the caveat that I see results--honestly, I would play the hand similarly.

also you are in position, in control so imo no need to raise this basically vs anyone unless you improve, ofc with so much equity you cant do too much wrong but yeah play passive IP and aggressive OOP

By calling bets down instead of raising vs the villain while we are still drawing, do we lose value from our hand if we hit any of our outs? Wouldn't a raise give off warning signs to the villain that they should be folding?

Its easier to realize your equity in position, you can check back, you can bet if you hit, you can call, you can bluff if you miss, you can do whatever you want, there is just not much benefit to raising, its harder to do it OOP and thats why BB plays more aggressive, to make life harder for IP player

I don't really think this is the line, but like none said when you have this much equity it's hard for it to be too bad. If villain is loose/passive and this is their first donk, though, I'd be more inclined to just call and see some turns in position as I think they're likely to be strong.

If villain is getting moderately out of line with these types of plays, then I might consider raising more to attack a weak range, though playing passive lines is also great if they're gonna way overplay some hands and give you their stack when you hit.
