So i only have a small sample size of 300ish tournaments but i notice a trend where my red line is really bad.
Not sure how to improve it?
any suggestions would be helpful
Red line doesn't matter, overall winrate does, look to improve that. For the most part at lower stakes your winnings should probably be coming from showdown. People call too much, don't bluff enough etc. so you get overpayed when you have it and called down light when you don't.
Red line is going to be extremely difficult to get to go any direction but down. Why? Idk. Mine looks like that, along with many many other hyper/spin players. Just the nature of the game I would imagine. I would be more concerned with only winning 3200 chips in 375 games. That's about a 50.8 % EV win rate. I would look into your shallow( under 10bbs) pushing and calling to make sure your not too wide.
well, this just means that you are winning more at showdown. if you want to improve the red line, just have to incorporate in your game more 2 barrels, check raises, re-steals etc.
of course there are a ton of variables, but i think you got the idea.
I'll just back up what everyone else has said, ignore the red line, focus on your win-rate. Also, don't worry that you're not winning at the moment, 375 games is too small a sample to draw conclusions from. Just keep trying to improve your technique.
2p2 has a search feature--use it. This question has been asked somewhere in the 20-50times region over the past 3 years. Answer is always the same--ignore it. Red line/blue line aren't strong indicators of EV because many decisions can lead to the same EV results but different blue line/red line results, and all that matters is EV.
