Changing from HU NL SNG regular to turbo Changing from HU NL SNG regular to turbo

Hi All,

I'm new to these forums so please bear with me.

I am quite a decent player in $50 to $100 HU SNG NL games and only play regular speed. My ROI is around 11-12%.
However playing Regular speed usually means I have a long wait for games and I would like to get into Turbo HU SNG NL. Every time I try and play Turbo I always seem to loose quite a bit.

Can anyone recommend any Tips for converting from HU SNG regular to turbo speed games.

Thanks for your help.
Zippy

It took me 200 games to make the transition from Regspeed to Turbo. Maybe drop down # of tables and concentrate on getting used to the faster pace, quicker reactions, more sense of urgency, less room for error etc. At 12% roi, you shouldn't have any problems, just play through the troubles and wait for your mind to get used to it

Had the same problem with turbo but on lower stakes. Every time I tried to star playing turbo I got couple of bad beats and thought it is impossible to have some nice ROI on turbo games. I suppose in fact it is impossible to hold up ROI from regular games because of greater variance. My problem was with too many all ins preflop. On a higher blinds (25-50) I shoved way to often with hands like AJo to steal 2x or 3x raise from button. Even though often I was called by a weaker hand like KTs I was loosing quite a lot of games - probably even more than I should according to statistics... But this is problem with shoving preflop Quite a high variance...
