I didn't realize how people viewed well threads at the time which is why it seems so weird, I really just meant it for helping beginning players out because I seemed to hit the ground running when I started. I was only coaching one person and I was charging him $25/hour and letting him hold out on paying me until he hit high enough games that it wouldn't hurt his bankroll. He ended up doing pretty well. It is pretty funny though.

I play mostly $550s for HUSNG nowadays and like 5/10 - 10/20 with bumhunting for HU cash over a meaningless small sample.

I did coaching / video sales via the forums here and ran a bootleg rakeback affiliate with no website. I tried to offer everything that other coaches did like forums, study groups, help outside of sessions, etc. I realized that at some point I would need to start up an actual website, but I have no knowledge of web design whatsoever so it was difficult to actually put into action (I actually got a rakeback site up before knowing anything about HUSNG.com, but I hadn't designed it myself). HUSNG.com was on its 9th webmaster but actually progressing so it seemed to solve most of my problems. I had a lot of knowledge of video sales and was already running a fairly large rakeback affiliate so it was definitely a mutually beneficial proposition.

1. I think that the only way I will stop playing poker is if I start losing money at it. I enjoy trying to progress my game, but I don't find any enjoyment in -EV gambling (like blackjack, playing against people better than me, flips, etc.).

2. I think they will still be profitable but not nearly as much. I think that the rake at $550s+ (maybe $220s also?) is excessive, and the shortstacked play is a lot easier to solve so the game should gradually become less profitable. I think that the only way that the game will become more profitable is if we have some helpful legislation or if something causes another "Moneymaker effect."

Yes, I was signed up under a friend and was the only active player under his affiliate. I had him merge his affiliate into a different one so the account would be usable. Full Tilt won't move specific players but they will on occasion merge an entire affiliate account (this was possible to do because I was the only active player under the affiliate).

I definitely thought you did this well way too early at the time but the results justify it in hindsight.
