Tight aggressive villain. Big winner at these stakes.

Is this always gonna be best to bet/call? or is checking here an option worth considering at this depth?

Villain is a very good opponent and tough to play against. Iv'e only found a couple of chinks in his armor, one of them being that he folds to 3bets and cbets in 3bet pots far too often. Also I wasn't getting too many good hands and folding often oop so I thought it was a good time to make a stand gameflow wise. Where as I would usually 3bet J5s and flat J6s, I felt that my hand would have higher expectation 3betting than flatting given villains tendencies. This may have been a poor decision so correct me if I'm wrong.

    But as played......

still hand is too good to 3bet imo, Id flat also J5s, and if you want to 3bet than do it with smth like J2s, J3s.
As played, not sure, prob check/calling

Shouldn't we cbet otf since we gain equity? Also why is a 3bet hand J2s and a flat J6, regarding value is my question, aren't we balancing putting those hands (J2s, J3s) on our 3bet range that are not goog enough to call so why is J6s much better than those?, ty for the answers.

I think the 3b is fine. On the flop you can probably bet or check raise. I don'tthink check calling is the best way to handle this hand cause you really don't have much show down value so you probably want to force the action on the flop to try take it down.

Against good players sometimes its ok to 3b marginal to weaker hands so they can't put you on a hand range when you do 3b. They will know what flops to fight back with if you 3b a range that is to tight full of premium hands.
