Banned On FTP for 7 Days Banned On FTP for 7 Days

I have been banned from FTP for 7 days

Several Months ago another Hu Sng Reg G1shot and I were at war, every lobby he sat I joined shortly after for a weeks times he played 170sngs over that time frame and 154 of them were vs me. He eventually got a hint and decided to join 45 mans instead being the douche I am, I joined his 45mans just to hurt his hourly, after a few days I did something I regret, I told him I would stop sitting him if he payed me a monthly fee. He told ftp of the offer I made they told me I could not play him anymore, I was fine with that several months went by I did not play him.

Today he decides hes going to move up limit's and play in games that I sit in at a daily basis, the games have dried up since superturbos ect so when another player sits its hurting my hourly and my income so I decide Im going to sit him.

Ftp Bans me for this action and Im hoping everyone here thinks its as outrageous as I do. I would appreciate it if you guys email ftp your opinion about this matter.

That's absolutely rediculous. I can't believe that they gave him immunity from you in the first place...

I don't see how you asking for a monthly fee not to sit him warrants them banning you from playing him for life. wtf

write up a skeleton email and I'll copy/paste/modify/send it

That is honestly ****ing ridiculous. It is one thing to play him outside of your normal stakes, but to be forced to leave him alone in your normal games is just absurd.

Have you emailed FTP to explain to them that you are playing almost anyone at your given stakes/games and therefore are not hunting him?

I'll email FTP tomorrow since I am about to pass out. I expect this thread to be a few pages long when I wake up.

That is just silly. They shouldn't have banned you from playing him in the first place. But now it is affecting you directly since he is in your lobby. Change this ruling FTP.

whats a skeleton email?

^post a format for the email, and include points that you want in/think are good. We'll personalize it, and then send.

basically takes alot of the work out of it for us sending it, so that more people are more likely to do it.

Your monthly fee offer is classified as what under FTP's T&C? It's not collusion, it's not a type of cheating. Did they specifically cite how your offer violated their T&C? It's definitely unethical, but is it really against the rules? You are helping him by allowing him the option of paying a fee instead of you raping him on a daily basis IMO. lol.

I don´t think you got the first ban because you were hunting him, but because of the offer you made, which seems quite unprecedented.
The first act is within the rules IMO. The second one I believe shouldn´t be tolerated - bad for poker economy, "gray area" in ethics, etc. Still, 100% immunity from being played for someone is even worse for poker and sets a really bad example.

I don´t know the FTP T&C, but such a deal is definitely bad for them business-wise

considering their action was to ban the two from playing eachother, it doesn't seem to be their concern that the monthly fee was going to prevent games from being played.

im da sheriff of this lobby
05-13-2010 , 08:45 AM
That's ******ed, everyone should spite-sit this guy.
05-13-2010 , 08:50 AM
lol how douchey of FTP
05-13-2010 , 08:54 AM
I understand sitting him constantly in husngs, but following him to 45 mans is douchey like you said yourself. That being said, it still gives FTP no reason to ban you for sitting him. The deal you were offering to him doesn't change anything as he didn't agree to it. I don't know if the deal would have violated their site rules, but it really doesn't matter now. What matters is why the f doesn't FTP let you sit him. Being not allowed to play him when he starts to play your regular stakes is biggest bs I've heard in a long time. Proves once again what kind of joke their support is.

There response to email, this is absurd.

Thanks for your response.

Our rules say that you are allowed to join all of the players in the HU sit and go tournaments and if they don't want to play with you we advice them not to sit alone and join other players instead of waiting for them.

Unfortunately in individual cases we take all of the factors into our consideration and make some additional steps to protect players from being harassed at the tables. The way you were talking and dealing with this player before is completely unacceptable and that's why you were asked not to sit with him any more, even if the rules for all other players state different.

You did it again and this is the reason that your account was closed for seven days. We understand your concerns, but this is just one player and we expect that you do what we kindly asked you about. This is our final statement in this case.

On a little side note, please be aware that the Full Tilt Poker software is designed without any table volume restrictions. This means that the new sit and go always appears if you sit at the present one, so you can always sit at a few of them and wait for the other players to join you.

If there's anything else we can help you with, please let us know. We're always here to help.

I'm shocked FTP send out letters with grammatical errors, do they have any idea how this makes them look? This is a multi-million dollar business, not some guy running a hobby website.

of course you should've expected this, but their decision a few months ago is pretty out there imo

I seriously think that some of the customer service reps @ FTP should go into politics. They are masters at responding to questions while not answering them, and double speak is their specialty. Might as well not even e-mail them. There response is ALWAYS a template. This e-mail is one of the better ones, but still, come on.
