Hi, as u can see I'm not an every day poster. But as I'm trying to take the HU's a more serious approach - I played different types of games, but no big sample on any variety, maybe a little more on live cash... - , I decided to start posting some hands and perhaps develop some interesting discussion around them. I played a little more than 2k games on hypers so far, mostly on $7 2-tabling.

Last week I decided to move up to the $15's , so I reviewed some games, read some stuff (had already read mers's ebook before), worked w/ some ranges on Slice (a "poker stove" similar for mac users) and sticked to 1-tabling to focus. I'm using a 50 BI move up, 35 BI move down, so a bad start at the $15's made me move back to the $7 yesterday.

That's not the reason I'm posting the following hands, even if some of them were poorly played, as I realize 10-15 BI's downswings are common (was my second time it happened thou). Also I realize that i ran on some coolers/facing top of opponent's ranges more often than usual. So, enough talk, here are some hands*:

1. Opponent's kinda laggy, sp postflop, main thing is he c/raised a lot otf so far:

[converted_hand][hand_history]Poker Stars, $14.69 Buy-in (10/20 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #15995361

Hero (BB): 450 (22.5 bb)
SB: 550 (27.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6 8
SB completes, Hero checks

Flop: (40) 5 4 3 (2 players)
Hero bets 30, SB raises to 112

He was mixing some limping/raising. I'm usually not stacking off 1-card OESD'S, sp on flops like this w flushdraw and my overs not so good tbh. His raise seems like there's no FE. At the same time how do u proceed against an aggro oop, give up ur equity? Call and hope for a 2, 7 or 8? Maybe just fold and hope for better spot? A 7 would be nice since we han an 8 also, but thats not many cards.

I'll actually post only this hand for now. If I don't fk up with hand conversion thing i'll bring some more. Thanks in advance

Ok, so now i'll put some other hands:

1. Sht*y spot against unknown:

[converted_hand][hand_history]Poker Stars, $14.69 Buy-in (10/20 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #15995451

BB: 460 (23 bb)
Hero (SB): 540 (27 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 5 Q
Hero raises to 40, BB calls 20

Flop: (80) Q 8 7 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 40, BB calls 40

Turn: (160) 6 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 90, BB raises to 180

The next three folowing hands are against the same villain.

2. This was readless, very beginning of the sng:

[converted_hand][hand_history]Poker Stars, $14.69 Buy-in (10/20 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #15995501

Hero (SB): 520 (26 bb)
BB: 480 (24 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9 8
Hero raises to 40, BB calls 20

Flop: (80) Q 5 9 (2 players)
BB bets 40, Hero calls 40

Turn: (160) J (2 players)
BB bets 100

I'm not calling down weak pairs as standard, but the fact that we're IP and get a J on the turn makes things closer imo. Easy fold?

3. At this point I knew that villain was loose preflop, limping a lot, leading a mix of air and made hands, 3bet'ng ~ 20% (don't use a HUD, but that's what PT3 hand replayer shows and that's what it looked like to me), he also defend a bit, but not every hand (playing ~ 60% on BB)

Hero (SB): 625 (31.3 bb)
BB: 375 (18.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9 K
Hero raises to 40, BB calls 20

Flop: (80) A 4 5 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 40, BB raises to 120

This was a bit confusing for me because even thou he was'n 3bting a lot neither c/raising, an A was unlikely. Imo this is mostly pair+FD or even a made flush by this guy. The fact is if his diamond kicker is lower than nine, we're in a good shape, otherwise we're really bad, so... don't know...

4. The last hand and the next one are few of the hands that villain showed agression on the flop by raising, even thou was capable of 3barrel bluff and lead/continue. He was limping a ton, probably hit this board. But even against mos pairs we're not in bad shape (T6 type hand).

SB: 480 (16 bb)
Hero (BB): 520 (17.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8 J
SB completes, Hero checks

Flop: (60) 3 9 T (2 players)
Hero bets 35, SB raises to 120, Hero raises to 490 and is all-in
