A. I think this should be every 3-4 months not back to back months (but I don't really care and think every month is better than not at all.
B. The next one should definitely be at least $50+5, preferably 100+10. I'd be happy to stake some guys or take a piece of their action, etc. IMO perfect set up would be 3 per year, one "high stakes" (100+10), a midstakes (24+2) and a low stakes (10+1 or even 5+0.50)

i like this as well other than i like the idea of having one every month, but i wouldnt cry if we all decided to have it quarterly, having ascending buyins, but im not sure how many people would be up for the 100+10 against a pretty strong field, idk. i can afford up to $50 with my nitty BR rules, but again if the fourm wants a $100 ill play it too. we do something like 10+1, 24+2, 50+5, 100+10. the latter being the "Championship" if you will, i like this idea, and im sure i could get it set up with Full tilt.

I like the idea of seperate low, mid, and high stakes tournaments. One way to play this monthly, but still have it be a prestigious title, is to have rankings. So everyone in a given level (people will sign up for whatever stake they wanna play) starts with 0 points, and then acquires points based on how well they finish every month. Then every year we reset the points? Obviously this system isn't prefect.

1 Foreseeable Problem:
- John signs up for the low stakes tourneys cause he is new to HUSnGs. As he progresses during the year and is BR grows, he wants to move up to the mid stakes tourney. What happens with his points? (Similarly, what if someone wants to move down in stakes?)

Just an idea, seems like a lot of kinks would have to be worked out and obviously someone would have to volunteer to organize everything.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think part of the reason that people don't want one every month is because they feel that part of winning the event should be getting to hold the "HUNL Forum Champion" title for some extended period of time. By having some sort of ranking system, you keep the event competitive and if anything winning in the end is even more prestigious since you have to consistently place well to win.

I don't really like the ranking system, it just makes things overly confusing, when all we really want is to play against each other in fun events.

I'm for weekly low stakes events, with maybe a main event for a 40$+ buyin maybe every month or so.

Yeah, I'd tend to agree that rankings would muddle things, just trying to come up with ideas.

I like your idea actually. Weekly/bi-weekly low stakes events and a big buy in event(will probably have to be > $40) every so often for the higher stakes players.

I don't like higher buyins or multiple.

It was sweet to have all the guys playing in one, and the money is not what's important imo.

The lowstakes guys for the most part could handle $26, it was like $700 for the winner, and the gambly types can just do last-longers or other props.

It's unfair to exclude the low-stakes guys because you want to bet more.

+1 ... it was nice to get a chance to play the higher stakes guys at a reasonable buy-in with a decent payout too.. 26 is a good "sweet" spot.
